Pipe Dreams About Hamas

An Egyptian university professor picked up an interesting point about Obama’s speech that I missed: an American president has now described Hamas in positive terms, without referring to it as a criminal terrorist organization. Quite a milestone, even for an administration noted for its dubious milestones.

According to ANSAmed:

Egyptian Prof Says Obama Did Not Criminalise Hamas

CAIRO, JUNE 4 — For the first time ever, today, a US president omitted to criminalise Hamas when speaking of the movement, but saw it as a possible contributory element to a solution of the Middle East crisis.

The fact has been pointed out by a former lecturer in Islamic Art and Architecture at Ain Shams University, Shahira Mehrez, who notes the phrase: “Hamas has the support of a part of the Palestinians, but it also bears responsibility. In order to have a role in attaining the aspirations of the Palestinians and to unify the Palestinian people, Hamas has to put a stop to violence, recognise past accords and recognise Israel’s right to exist” from Barack Obama’s speech in Cairo this morning.

“These are positive tones,” Mehrez notes ‘which have certainly up to now never come from one in high authority. It is a new approach, an intelligent speech, although not without ambiguities”.

Hamas is an organization that desires a genocide of Jews. This is clearly stated in their founding charter, which means that President Obama is now reaching out to people who desire the genocide of Jews. It is not an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that about 80 % of American Jews voted for Obama. The mantra of the anti-Semites is that Jews don't care about anything other than Israel, but in this case, they don't even care about Israel.

There are too many Jews who alienate people who could potentially be their allies at the same time as they support continued Muslim immigration and try to reach out to Muslims who would like to cut their throats. Groups such as the ADL are seriously undermining the long-term interests of Jews themselves. I am puzzled that so many Jews don't seem to be able to grasp this simple fact, although even people who hate Jews usually give them credit for being clever. How do we deal with the suicide Jews?

The trick is to get the Israelis to understand that now that American authorities are abandoning them, they need to find as many new allies as they can, as fast as possible. While many Jews apparently don't fully grasp this fact, in this historical period European patriots may well be their most natural allies. The Islamization of the Western world constitutes nothing less than an existential threat to Jews. If any parties in the Western world oppose mass immigration of alien peoples, and by extension Muslim immigration, Jews should support this for their own good if nothing else. What Israelis should do right now is to spread information about the EU's plans to create Eurabia. That way they could reach out to potentially non-hostile average European citizens and form an alliance with them against their own media and authorities, which are not only consistently hostile to Israel but also very hostile to their own peoples.

Eurabia was born with an anti-Israeli alliance. Consequently, it would make sense to combat Eurabia with the formation of a pro-Israeli alliance. As long as European patriotic and anti-EU parties commit themselves to containing the most rabid anti-Semites, Israelis as well as European and American Jews have every reason to support them.

More soft racism of low expectations from Obama (widespread on the Left).

Fjordman,

Haakon Lie died on 25th May 1905-2009 - I learnt accidentally from Morgenbladet (an article by Hans Olaf Lahlum his biogrpher)

I have his autobiography, he moved Norway definitely westwards and sensed the communist danger much better than others around.

There might be an article remembering him onGoV.

...............................

Lot of things might be achieved through culture and education. The Jews are good at it and can have create or improve their networks and reach many people.

Some work has been done explaining patiently the situation in Israel.
We might focus more on the Jews living in Europe. There is not much to say about a "conflict", it is clearly a one-sided threat.

That could accelerate the process, but we need people speaking for themselves. Possibly the Jewish organizations spread around will be more fearful than individuals.

We might organize something in Czech/Poland/Slovakia. The muslim presence is minimum and the media are not obliged to face any muslim pressure.

It would be ideal to have quite educated people or artists able to move around anytime mixing Jews and non-Jews and give it a more general aim/theme than protecting the Jews. Maybe it would be wise to envolve more threatened people like Christians/Zoroastrians from ME/Africa. The larger scope gives us more operational freedoms.

There was an amazing activity in Germany recently concerning the rescue of the monastery of Mor Gabriel. They have some numbers!

If we get an approach in which politics is not the only issue we can raise much more interest in the public.

With Obama’s comments on Hamas I think it is slowly dawning upon the Israeli population that the US is in the process abandoning them and they will soon be alone. Really alone. As the Iranian generals say, Israel is a one bomb nation. The fact is that Israel stands alone against this existential threat. No Western nation that will do anything substantive to stop Iran . To see were we are now let’s fast forward to the day after Iran drops a nuke on Israel.

President Obama will issue a strong statement of condemnation but caution the citizens of the world to not equate islam with terrorism, reminding us that “it is part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of islam wherever they appear”. Obama will then authorize $200 Billion in emergency relief for gaza The security council will be called into emergency session and demand a radiation free homeland for the Palestinians with Jerusalem as its capitol. A side resolution will equate Zionism with racism. The EU will make some noises but the feeling of the Euro-trash elite is basically good riddance and that Israel had it coming. Sweden will demonstrate its outrage by declaring war against Israel and detaining all Swedish Jews as enemy combatants. Obama will offer Sweden the use of Guantánamo Bay. Youtube take down all videos showing Muslims celebrating in the streets along with all of Pat Condell’s videos.

The real question is what does Israel do? If Israel does a pre-emptive strike can they disarm Iran’s nuke capability with conventional weapons? Probably not. Should Israel do a pre-emptive strike with nuclear weapons? There are a lot of reasons why Israel should not do a nuclear first strike. But I think the real question is can Israel’s ability to unleash the Samson option survive a nuclear first strike? And just what exactly would the Samson option entail? Would Samson wipe out Saudi Arabia, Mecca, Syria, the entire Middle East? If so then maybe it will be this back pressure from the Arab states, with the US in the loop that prevents Iran from launching a nuclear strike? This assumes the players are somewhat rational, a dubious assumption in the Middle East. At any rate this would not prevent Iran from building a nuclear arsenal it would only buy some time to figure out the next steps.

J. Hank Rearden: But I think the real question is can Israel’s ability to unleash the Samson option survive a nuclear first strike?.

An excellent question. Clearly, the Samson Option wouldn't mean much if its components were not sufficiently hardened and distributed to withstand a first strike.

Given that reasonable assumption, it then requires Iran (as a prime aggressor), to strike with more than one nuclear weapon. The overspill and collateral damage of such strikes would kill many more than just the Israelis. Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Egypt might all take it in the proverbial shorts.

Furthermore, Iran's guidance technology is more than likely rather primitive and probably incapable of the pinpoint strikes needed to incapacitate Israel's silos. This makes a Samson Option response all the more likely.

All of this points towards something I have been mentioning of late and that is how the remaining MME (Muslim Middle East), must be on quite a raft of pins and needles about how to quell Iran's nuclear ambitions. This is especially so in light of Amahdinejad's "twelver" status and apocalyptic vision that the twelfth imam will only emerge when Islam is on the brink of disaster.

Clearly, other Muslim countries are probably becoming increasingly alarmed that Iran could effectively invite a Muslim Holocaust, all for the sake of annihilating Israel. Rather the steep price tag, no? Will this alarm be enough to finally breach the usually impenetrable wall of Muslim solidarity? Given the Sunni – Shiite rift, this is a distinct possibility. The king of Saudi Arabia’s recent rebuff of Ahmadinejad points towards this. Just don't bet the farm on it.

No matter how oblivious BHO might be, he will not be allowed to disregard global repercussions of having the Saudi oil fields contaminated by nuclear retaliation. Again, neither can the Sunni Muslim leaders be ignoring this elephant in the room.

While I agree that all of this makes BHO's current neglect of Israel all the more puzzling, it could also be the result of sheer stupidity on a massive scale. In view of The One's recent comments about America being the largest Muslim nation, such a prospect is not entirely out of the question.

And just what exactly would the Samson option entail? Would Samson wipe out Saudi Arabia, Mecca, Syria, the entire Middle East?

Yes. I would not even be surprised if Israel lobbed a complimentary nuke into Moscow for all the grief Russia has fomented for the Jews.

If so then maybe it will be this back pressure from the Arab states, with the US in the loop that prevents Iran from launching a nuclear strike?

Sane minds could only hope so. No matter how attractive it would be to have the MME glassed over as a short term solution, the loss of Israel and subsequent collateral damage to our world’s economy would simply be too great a cost.

This assumes the players are somewhat rational, a dubious assumption in the Middle East.

No small mitigating factor in all of this. The Muslim mind’s ability to accommodate cognitively dissonant precepts is unmatched outside of psychiatric wards for the criminally insane.

At any rate this would not prevent Iran from building a nuclear arsenal it would only buy some time to figure out the next steps.

Which is why a nuclear-armed Iran would go down in history as this new century’s gravest strategic blunder. Simply put, there is no upside to a nuclear-armed Islam.

Should it happen that AhMADinejad nukes Israel I sure hope they will retaliate. Not that I long for nuclear holocaust but Israel doing nothing would be even more devastating as the muslims would interpret it as weakness on the jews behalf. Besides, when Israel is gone there is nothing standing in-between us (Europe) and MME. And that is very disturbing to say at least.

I've seen this figure bandied about. I don't believe it. I simply don't believe it. I think it's the same "statisticians" who tell us that 70% of the Israeli population is againt the expansion of settlements. The 80% figure doesn't come from the same reality I live in. It doen't at all reflect the percentage of Jews I know who voted for Obama. Maybe they went to some very specific liberal neighborhood in New York to get this 80%. I think we allow ourselves to be taken in too easily by the lying and manipulating media.

For those who may have missed it, a hat tip to the Baron for his delicious little pun buried in this article's title.

Just last night I was explaining to a fellow party-goer about how, gifted with so many kilometers of metal sewage pipe, the Palestinians promptly set about converting it into missile bodies to rain down upon Israel. Even Abu Mudhen (Abbas), in his public speeches would allude to the rockets as "pipes".

Of course, such subversion and deceit comes with a price tag attached. In this case, with no sewage pipe being installed, a diked section of one large sand dune-banked storage pond gave away and inundated an entire Palestinian village with a "Sewage Tsunami" (priceless term, that).

Palestinians drowning in their own feces and filth. Given how their entire culture is immersed in hatred and death, there is a supremely fitting irony in that.
