A Glum Week for Britain
by Gaia
This has to be one of the most sobering weeks in the history of the UK. A succession of events led inexorably to the conclusion that life as we knew it has changed. We are in for a rocky ride.
The first to suffer were the BNP, who were already reeling from the recent publishing of their membership list on the Internet. Thirteen of their activists, aged from 19 to 70, were arrested in Liverpool on Saturday 23 November for handing out their leaflet “Racism Cuts Both Ways” (pdf). Assistant Chief Constable Colin Matthews of Merseyside Police said the arrests were made following the “distribution of leaflets which officers believe to contain racist content” and that “Merseyside Police condemns racism and will take prompt action to support all our communities.”
The thirteen were held in custody for several hours and their homes were searched. They were arrested at about ten minutes to one in the afternoon, but most were not even interviewed until after six pm, and the last was only interviewed well after 11 pm. Andrew Tierney was subjected to violence and physical torture for his passive resistance to providing fingerprints and a DNA sample for the database so beloved of this Labour administration. The oldest BNP leafleter to be arrested was Arnold Brindle, 70 who was denied access to his medication for stage three renal failure.
On Monday 24th the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith announced that £8m is to be made available to equip up to 30,000 police response officers with Taser guns. Smith wants frontline response officers in all 43 police forces in England and Wales to be trained to use 10,000 of the 50,000-volt weapons.
Monday also gave us the Pre-Budget Report with the Chancellor Alistair Darling’s pre-meltdown mini-budget increasing public borrowing and doubling the national debt to £1 trillion whilst temporarily reducing the rate of VAT by 2.5% and deferring future tax rises till after the next General Election, an appallingly cynical legacy to be passing on to future generations.
For this, he is roundly attacked by Shadow Chancellor George Osborne, who has recently been a victim of a smear campaign by the twice-disgraced Prince of Darkness “Lord” Peter Mandelson, brought back to shore up Gordon Brown’s increasingly precarious hold on the leadership of the country.
On Wednesday we learn of the outrages in Bombay in which up to 7 British Muslims are implicated, and the idiotic utterances of Stephen Hockman QC, a UK barrister, suggesting that Sharia law should be incorporated into the UK legal system and recommending that a group of MPs and legal figures should be convened to plan how elements of the Muslim religious-legal code could be introduced.
But the lowest point of a very depressing week must be the arrest on Thursday of the Conservative Shadow Immigration Secretary, Damian Green by nine police officers of the counter-terrorism unit.
- - - - - - - - -
His arrest, which lasted for nine hours, followed a series of leaks to the Conservatives about Government policy, including a sensitive memorandum from the Home Office’s most senior official on crime figures earlier this month. It is understood that the inquiry is focusing on four Home Office documents allegedly obtained by the Conservatives, documents from the private office of Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, which were leaked to the opposition last November.
They showed that ministers had known for four months that thousands of illegal immigrants had been cleared to work as security guards, etc. — one even working in the House of Commons — but had not told Parliament.
Counter-terrorism officers conducted simultaneous searches at four locations: Green’s constituency office and home in Ashford, Kent, his office in the House of Commons and his London home.
That an opposition Member of Parliament is arrested for carrying out his duties to his constituents, with the police even presuming to enter into the Commons itself, is unprecedented since the time of Charles I and has provoked an uproar the length of Britain. Even the BBC and The Guardian, normally mouthpieces of the Government, were initially at a loss for words at this Stalinist action. Reactions from the British public express horror at the speed at which the country is degenerating under the jackboots of a police state. A sample of some of the 681 comments following this article:
What next, Opponents of Nu-Labour having a knock on the door at midnight.
Are the Police now an arm of Commisar Browns Political establishment.
What next is Nu labour going to abolish all other political parties?
This is over the top action by the police. If a stop is not put to this action then it is the end of political freedom in this country.
and:
Are we living in a police state? This past couple of weeks have made me think seriously about emigrating.
This country needs to get rid of these stalinists who seem to be absolutely out of control.
A spokesman for 10 Downing Street declared: ‘This is a matter for the police. The Prime Minister had no prior knowledge of the arrest of Mr Green and was only informed after the event.’, a claim so ludicrous as to be laughable. Could this be the tipping point that causes the British people to wake up to the danger we are all facing?

I wonder, has Britain outsourced her policing to Chicago?
No need for it, the disease is the same... Cultural Marxism. USA, Western Europe, Latin America, Australia (and it's little terminal neighbor) we all have it. Russia is fighting it and in my view getting better, eastern europe is dangering its future by contact to the EU. Read 1984 it describes pretty well its advanced syntoms.
How did the IRA acquire arms and explosives? And who are the manufacturers?

Looks like someone finally told the frog in the pot that there's a flame lit underneath.
Given the rightful veneration that Brits have for their noble legal traditions, this sort of thuggery is just the thing to set off the citizenry like a firecracker.
Also, I urge everyone to read the BNP's "Racism Cuts Both Ways" pamphlet. Quite the bleak prospect for average Britishers.
Yes, this is a very troubling incident. The door has been closed to the BNP.
I am sure something terrible will replace it. The average native Briton knows he's being replaced, made a marginal, and despised minority in his own country.
He will eventually turn to someone. Likely local criminal networks for protection. If the state and government can only arrest political opposition figures but cannot maintain order and safety for the majority, then rapidly the populace will lose all respect for it and turn to criminal networks. It's why criminal networks flourish in corrupt societies where the state does not provide safety and order.
I presume Britain will be a good market for black market weapons. This is also the hallmark of failed states societies. One that would characterize Britain.
"Stuck" people have nowhere to go. That's most of them. It's a brutal, criminal-led street fight in Britain's future. The door has been closed to political reform.

If Labour and the Tories would just be sensible and honest about immigration policies and problems, then non-racist Brits simply concerned with Britain would not be driven to the only party concerned about immigration problems, the BNP; most of whose members are NOT 'fascists' or 'racists'.
Gordon Brown is clearly a fascist wannabe, and it would be even worse for Boris Johnson to have been privy to this. Hopefully most people will hear about this Stalinist, NAZI, and Communist-like behavior..

It seems as though Britain is done like dinner as the police appear to be very enthusiastic about their new job as enforcers of multicult, not dragging their feet at all. So they'll be out there protecting the Muslim rapists et al when the natives finally pick up their pitchforks (all they'll have since they were disarmed after a school massacre gave Labor the excuse it needed for strict gun control).
Their armed forces may be infiltrated by socialist rot as well if the abject behavior of that naval crew that Iran scooped out of International Waters is representative.
Who would have thought it can go so bad so quickly and what a terrible reminder as the US starts its own plunge with marxist Obama and an almost super majority in Congress.
We have completely earned the contempt of the jihaddis.
It remains to be seen if the will to resist extends at all past the limit of a few websites.
The conservatives seem to be too preoccupied with courtesy to lift even a voice, much less a hand, in anger.
And the other side? Well ...
I am somewhat skeptical about the "uproar the length of Britain". I suspect it is nothing more than some isolated postings online.
I would much prefer to be wrong about this.
But where are the football hooligans? Where are the crowds of angry young men with clubs and bottles? Where are the scarred old veterans shouting from soap boxes and calling the young to arms?
Why are the foreign rapists of Leeds, Sheffield, Blackburn and Huddersfield so openly bold? Why are they so sure that their lives are safe?
Make no mistake, this is contempt for the watery loyalty and inferior virility of the native westerners.
I fear that I am not wrong.
Wasn't the BNP a nazi/facist party?
Well now, thing with Damien Greene ties quite nicely in with what I was saying about parliamentary privilege. He was arrested because he broke the law - passing on information he had acquired to someone outside parliament. If he had raised it as a question in parliament first, he would have been clear: the fact that in doing so, he would have removed the criminal element of the activity and placed the information in the public domain, would have then allowed the information to be widely disseminated in an entirely legal fashion.
As I said before, sitting members have no protection against arrest for criminal activity. He committed a crime - essentially handling stolen goods. He had a very simple way to make this action legal. The fact that he apparently either forgot or didn't know about it speaks volumes about the state of both the country in general and our political masters in particular.
It would have been better to allow Charles I to remain monarch if the end result was the Islamification and jackbooting of Great Britian. Nothing wrong with arresting a minister of the crown, but there is no cause to arrest a Briton who was defending Britian from destruction by Islamification and degredation by immigration. Charles I would not have allowed crime to run rampant in his Kingdom nor the entry of Muslims and non-whites. Three cheers for Charles I. And he certainly would not have allowed Brown or Blair to be his first Minister.
