Those Ripping Sounds You Hear…

Darn. He sounded so good for awhile. Then Fred Thompson made a fatal mistake for anyone concerned with the infiltration of this country by Islamists. He hired Spencer Abraham as his campaign manager:

The nail in Fred’s coffin Although Abraham, of Lebanese descent, is a Christian, he is a career water carrier for Islamists of the most extremist stripe and made that the cornerstone of his failed, one-term Senate career and equally lousy tenure as Energy Secretary.

As a Senator, he took marching orders from James Zogby of the pan-Islamist Arab American Institute, opposing profiling of Arabs, the use of secret evidence against Muslims (at the behest of Muslim groups), attempting to repeal the Clinton counterterrorism package, refusing to fund computer tracking of student and other foreign aliens, giving millions in our tax money right to Hezbollah, and putting CAIR on the map on Capitol Hill (taking the group’s officials around to meet other Senators and Members of Congress). He took campaign contributions from the relatives of Hezbollah-backed top Lebanese officials after he got the group millions in our tax money.

It gets worse…
- - - - - - - - - -
Spence was one of only two Senators in the entire U.S. Senate who refused to sign a letter calling on President Clinton to condemn Palestinian terrorism and Yasser Arafat. This was at the height of a series of homicide bombings in Israel in 1999 and 2000.

As Energy Secretary, he gave top secret tours of nuclear facilities, as well as detailed information on how we secure them to Muslim nations who are our enemies. And he gave out undue post-9/11 awards to Al-Qaeda money-launderers . . . at the White House. The money launderers were raided by U.S. Customs Service agents.

After he left the Bush cabinet, Spence became a lobbyist for Mid-Eastern Muslim countries that practice the Arab boycott of Israel and don’t really like us too much either. He took their money and until the Thompson race, did their bidding.

[…]

Then there’s Jamal Barzinji. Abraham enlisted him to find parties who helped and reached out to Muslims after 9/11, with Abraham hosting an awards ceremony for them. Problem is, Barzinji is an officer and/or director in SAFA Trust, Mar-Jac Poultry, and International Institute for Islamic Thought, all raided by Customs in March 2002 for laundering over $1.7 billion to Al-Quaida and Islamic Jihad (through indicted University of South Florida professor and alleged Islamic Jihad frontman Sami Al-Arian).

Read more at Right Truth on Mr. Abraham. Lots of links, none of them reassuring.

How long will it be before the conservative “Blogs for Thompson” slowly melts away in the light of Fred’s decision to hire Spencer Abraham?

Those ripping sounds you hear are the “I’m with Fred” buttons being removed from the sidebars of disappointed conservatives.

And Giuliani is hunting for Fred so he can throw a rose on the “Fred Thompson for President” coffin as this nail is hammered in like a stake through the heart.

It does befuddle me that he chose Abraham. Did a little reading about it and most believe Abraham will not affect policy but garner support inside the beltway. It is said that Abraham helped rebuild the GOP in Michigan so maybe Fred is hoping he will help get the GOP's act together while there is still a GOP. Going to withhold judgement.

This does not look good. I am still hoping that Newt throws his hat in the ring.

Is Giuliani completely untainted with Islamist connections? A hard task to achieve (money talks), but if so he seems bound to win the nomination.

This is very disheartening. Obviously, Spencer Abraham is traitorous human garbage and just about as obvious is the sad fact that Fred Thompson is actually fairly stupid or at least careless when you get right down to it. This is very sad indeed.

Goodbye Fred!

This isn't even the half of it. People haven't even really looked at Fred's record. It's not much different than John McCain's on immigration. Go to www.congressgrades.com Also, he's voted for minimum wage, against impeaching clinton, for campaign finance reform, etc...etc...

I don't know why everyone is so disheartened though, I personally believe that duncan Hunter has what everyone thought Fred was and more.

Basic credentials:

-He already started a border fence in San Diego that cut the trafficking of humans and drugs by 90% and cut crime by 53%
-He has an A+ From Americans for Better Immigration
-He has an A+ from the NRA
-He has a 100% rating from the National Right to LIfe
-He has a 100% rating from the Americans for Better Immigration
-He supports the Fair Tax
-He has a 100% rating from the Eagle Forum
-He has a plan to overturn Roe v. Wade
-He promises to finish the fence within 6 months if he becomes president.
-He will appoint Constructionist judges
-He has a plan to balance the budget
-He has a plan to cut spending
-He promises to end trade deals with China that are cheating us out of millions, deals enacted by Bill Clinton
- www.selectsmart.com took a poll asking people to describe the ideal candidate without picking names. The results were compared to current candidates, and 69% described Duncan Hunter
-He beat John McCain in a straw poll in his own state
-He tied for second in a straw poll in California
-He has 26 years of experience
-He is a Vietnam war veteran
-His son is fighting in Iraq
-He was Chair of the Armed Services Committee
-National Journal ranks him as the most conservative member of Congess running for president.

I also have a top ten list of why he would be the most successful nominee at my blog, www.dhgrassrevolt.wordpress.com

The tentacles of the Islamist beast run deep and stretch far within the institutions, bureaucracies and private industries of the nation.

Let's extrapolate into the future and imagine a scenario whereby the state authorities somehow wake up to the realisation of this gradual infiltration process: they order crackdowns, conducting investigations and purging the professions of these jihadist intellectuals from society. Perhaps it may already be too late when people realise that without the significant support of those less overt sympathisers and supporters of jihad in medical ranks, there may not be enough doctors to fill the clinics and ORs. Or that fresh graduates from medical school have already been dhimmified and conditioned to acquiesce in the intolerance of Islamist ideology, conceding increasing autonomy of decision-making to their jihadist colleagues, closet or otherwise.

Should society grow irreversibly dependent on these clandestine jihadist intellectual movements and circles, despite the purges of tomorrow we might be recruiting the same ideological fanatics and adherents back into the fold.

Only one problem in entertainment America: name recognition. Which means no money. Sad, but true.

Harrison--

You are not describing the American medical community. The British one, perhaps. Run this by Dr. Sanity, or any of the other MD blogs in the 'sphere. I think you will find they are skeptical.

dymphna,

for clarification's sake - the post I scribed about this issue was inspired by the failed British bombings of late, and so the context I'm referring to is that of the British/European medical community.

Apologies if it seemed misrepresented, since it was taken out of context.

TANCREDO-HUNTER 2008?

After the rest have shot their feet off with gaffes like this, their "second tier" status will look pretty damned good.

Both Hunter and Tancredo have impressive records, but no one has made the jump from the House to the White House in more than a century.

I still like Thompson. We can hope that he can prevent Abraham's pro-Islam views from influencing his policy choices. The balance of the campaign will be more revealing than what's come so far, on this point and many others.

Romney openly call them jihadists and call it the greatest global challenge of the 21st-century. He also condemns Obama for advocating meeting with men like Ahmedinejad.

He's also advocated doing away with the right to citizenship when illegal aliens have children in the US, speaks on behalf of building a fence, and wants to come after employers who hire illegals.

And Fred Thompson hires an open-borders advocate and CAIR-lover.

But I guess Romney is a Mormon, so what he thinks doesn't matter... *rolls eyes*

Some readers are saying maybe Fred knows what he is doing, hiring Abraham, to possibly get votes from 'that' segment of America.

But placing him as campaign manager tells me Abraham would have way too much influence on the campaign. I like Fred and I had (have) high hopes for him.

He still has time to get rid of Abraham and get his campaign in order before his planned announcement in September.

I hope the emails and letters from supporters are getting to him.

Thanks for the mention, as always.

That settles it. I'm voting for Ron Paul in the primary, although I think he is very naive about the menace of Islam.

I agree wholeheartedly with him on about 90% of the other issues, though.

My second choice is Duncan Hunter, and my third choice is Tom Tancredo.

I'm not at all enthusiastic about any other Republican candidate, and all of the Democratic candidates are an active threat to my liberty.

According to the New York Post, the campaign manager is Randy Enwright. Abraham will be a campaign advisor and "ambassador" to Washington, nothing more.

Need to get your facts straight before attacking a fellow conservative on who he appoints for whatever position. Thanks.

Matt:

It's the "campaign advisor" title that concerns me. That, and the open doors Abraham still has access to. IF Fred is doing this to gain a voter demographic, that's disheartening as well. I thought he would stand up and not go p.c. regarding Arab votes or Arab oil. It should not make a difference anyway.

However when someone such as Abraham has the access to terrorist groups, and vote against our strongest ally, Israel, then I have to be concerned.

Anyone in any voted official capacity in our federal government needs to relinquish citizenship in all other countries. I don't care if they are Arab, Jewish, from Great Britian, anywhere.
