An Easter Snowstorm

Easter snow

We woke up this morning here at Schloss Bodissey to a Holy Saturday surprise. Sometime during the night it had snowed enough to cover the ground and all the tree branches with about an inch of snow.

Easter snowIt got quite cold last night, so this was a dry snow. The intial melting on top of the flowers and leaves had frozen, leaving a mixture of crunchy ice under the snow. This does not bode well for the peach blossoms.

Global Warming works in mysterious ways.

Wonderful. I'm a confirmed snow lover and these photos do the heart good.

well, as someone who lives in the same County as the Schloss (but is currently out of town) all I can say is:

OH MY GOD!!!

Here in Northern Virginia, we also had snow. It's downright weird to see snow on tulips, daffodils, and cherry blossoms.
