Gates of Vienna News Feed 12/14/2012A 20-year-old man in Connecticut killed his mother in her home, and then went to the school where she taught kindergarten and shot and killed 27 people, 20 of them children, before killing himself. Celebrities and politicians are vociferous in their insistence that there must be national gun control laws to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.

In other news, a man in China went on a rampage with a knife outside a primary school, injuring 23 people, 22 of them children.

Meanwhile, a panel of experts recommends that the BBC use more gay presenters on children’s programs, so that youngsters will become accustomed to different sexual roles.

The rise of totalitarianism and outlawing the right to bear arms surely do go hand in fist.

The about to be enacted air gun laws are a sound indicator of the progressive authoritarianism of the Scottish political class.
