A New Era in Belgium

Two members of the new “Islam” party were elected to positions in local government in culturally enrich districts of Brussels.

Two Seats for Islam Party in Belgian Local Polls

It has been hailed as a new era for the Muslim community in Belgium. Two candidates from the fledgling orthodox Muslim party Islam have been elected to seats in Anderlecht and Molenbeek in the recent local elections. The party plans to present candidates at regional, national and European elections in 2014.

The Low Countries are a lost battle, unfortunately. After a Moroccan Muslim took over as the mayor of Rotterdam - the biggest in Europe - they have realized how far they can go. And once the gates have been opened, expect the deluge.
