Opting Out of Circus Breivik

Our Norwegian correspondent The Observer sends this brief note with the latest news in the trial of Anders Behring Breivik:

Hanne Nabintu HerlandAnother interesting twist has taken place in the Behring Breivik circus.

You are probably aware that the Breivik defence team has called Hanne Nabintu Herland as a witness. Mrs. Herland is not happy about that and she has written an op-ed in today’s Aftenposten in which she says that under no circumstances will she testify in a show trial that is orchestrated by a madman. She is also saying that she is willing to go to jail over this.

This has the potential to get very interesting.

Good move!

Actually each and every witness called by the defence should do the same - boycott the defence of this psychopath. Noone has been accused of aiding Breivik, noone is complicit in any way, there is noone to share the responsibility with.

Very interesting indeed, as this proves that this trial does no justice to the victims. It is either way a 'show trial', be it Breiviks way of the states way.
Show trials don't provide justice.
