Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/21/2012

Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/21/2012A record number of Swedes emigrated from their homeland last year. The official statistics bureau emphasized, however, that the size of the exodus — 50,000 people — represented only 0.5% of the population. In contrast, the great migration of 1887 saw 1% of the Swedish population emigrate to America.

In other news, the Danube is finally thawing. The breakup of the ice has caused chaos in Belgrade, as huge chunks of moving ice do damage to boats and barges.

Bloodlines are important in the breeding of horses and dogs.
I guess "Ali" is already debased to that point.
Does he have any idea of the contradiction of what he's saying?
What this demonstrates to me is the weakness of spirit that comes from a poor doctrinal understanding of Christianity.
Islam was spread by the sword before.
It is being spread more by Western ignorance of Western traditions now.
Although I'm sure the sword will be more and more present as time goes on.

So, this about a month or two after the Egyptian Institute is attacked and its manuscripts severely damaged.
Does anyone see a failure of reciprocity here?
Reciprocity-- that's the thing Third Worlders are constantly groaning about.
Yeah. They really know how to practice reciprocity.

Speaking about Valencia, this afternoon I was walking with my dog and suddenly found in a lane something new here called "Attijariwafa Bank". Here's their site - http://www.attijariwafabank.com/NousConnaitre/Pages/Implantations.aspx. According to the website, this is the most important banking and financial group in the Maghreb, and it operates through filials in all kind of financial fields, paying special attention to moroccans living abroad. Its headquarters are found in Morocco and it operates in 23 countries worldwide.

The issue of the demonstrations is very hot. I have no knowledge of rubber bullets having been used, but batons were. The youngsters threw bottles, stones and tangerines (!!!) at the police, and set fire to thrash containers. Even their parents took part in the show. There's a twitter account called " #PrimaveraValenciana ", that is, valencian spring, with lots of photos and videos about the "brutality" of the police. 11 policemen were injured. There were a total of 42 detainees, but according to today's news ONLY ONE was a student. There was not a word about who were the others, but one can guess they were antifas. The media calls them "movimiento social antisistema - social movement against the system". The red presence is rather patent here, one can often find communist stickers on walls and post-boxes calling to fight against capitalism, and 2 weeks ago I stumbled upon youngsters carrying red banners with the classical yellow hammer-scythe symbol, rushing to meet their comrades at the demo. There's even a new (?) kind of leftist banner, which I saw at yesterday's demo: three horizontal stripes, red, yellow, violet, often with a red star in the middle. It seems that the left is hijacking the whole issue.

I would rather say that it is being spread more by western ignorance of Islam. Just yesterday I stumbled upon an article at ICLA which praised the Ahmadiyya so-called "moderate" muslim group. The PDF document attached to the article was simply hair-raising. The ahmadiyya claims that Mohammed was pious and peaceful, that he established equal rights between men and women, that True Islam believes in all prophets and religious teachers appointed by God,including Muhammad, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Zaratustra, Confucius, Krishna, etc.... that islam is the religion of peace, and that Islam re-enforces the concept of humanity and respect for individual liberty, and it also reminds man of his fundamental human right of being free to choose his own religion as it is stated in the Quran that there is no compulsion in religion. The classical taqiyya trick to deceive the naive westerners with suras of the meccan period. There's no word about naskh, of course. Simply catastrophic. And the west continues to swallow the hook.
