Born in Norway, went to kindergarten, but don't speak Norwegian

Around 70% of "minority tongue" children have problems following education when they start school

Some of the children must be thaught what is 'chair', for instance, others 'on the chair'

Hanne Brunvoll, leader of Kindergarten section of the Education Association Oslo, doesn't see any problem about this.

Brunvoll is rather pleased that children of minority tongue background get extra assistance in school, and says imagining that they speak fluent Norwegian at the age of 6, is utopian, even though they are born in Norway and went to kindergarten - in Norway.

This problem is also part of the reason why Norwegian families move out of areas with a majority of "minorities"(...). The Norwegian children simply get influenced by the poor language skills of these "minorities" copying their way of speaking.
