Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/10/2011

Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/10/2011The most recent reports on yesterday’s violence in Tahrir Square in Cairo say that at least 40 people were killed, and hundreds injured. After eyewitness accounts from the Copts emerged it became apparent that the official description of events was not accurate: the Copts had not been armed, and most of the victims were Copts who were hit with police batons, shot, and run over by military vehicles. The Egyptian military government blames “foreign influences” for instigating the violence.

In other news, an appeals court in Canada has denied a South African man the right to remain in the country as a refugee, rejecting his claim that his life would be in danger if he returned to his own country, where white people are often victims of racially-motivated attacks. His case will now go to the Supreme Court.

Well, it was an Arab Spring - NOT a Copt Spring....

"The Egyptian military government blames “foreign influences” for instigating the violence."

I guess that the "foreign influences" who instigated the violence would include the Obama administration which paved the way for a Sharia-compliant Egyptian government to follow "pure" Sharia Law in its persecution of Copts in Egypt - and, next, Jews in Israel.
