The Wayfarer Returns

I just got back from London, and will compile a report about Counterjihad London 2011 after I’ve rested and recovered from jet lag.

In the meantime, here are some photos of notable landmarks visited during my sightseeing tours in the Greater London area. The first shot shows the former St. Mary’s Priory in (I think) Tottenham. You can see the niche containing a statue of the Virgin, with a cross above it. The inscription below the niche is the Ora Pro Nobis:

London 2011 #1

Now look at a close-up of the main entrance to the building:

London 2011 #2

“We Love You, Ya Mohammed Rasulullah”

Below the jump are three more stops on the tour of traditional English landmarks:

London 2011 #3

London 2011 #4

London 2011 #5

More later…

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

I'm sure she weeps now in Heaven.

...well, this is what happens when standing in a field chewing one's cud...the Brits know this all to well...now that the milk has gone sour.

It seems rather odd that the Muslims have left the cross and statue on the building considering their thoughts on such things.

I recognize Central Mosque at Regents. I've been inside it... I didn't like it one bit. Felt spiritually oppressive.

Oddly enough and conversely, we also visited the Shia Islamic Center and while I was still uncomfortable stepping foot inside, I didn't feel the same degree of spiritual anxiety.

In fact, the interior of the Shia mosque was covered in 3D blue equilateral triangles. Upon getting the Imam's answer after asking him about the triangles, we all wanted to do a group face-palm and call him dense and spiritually blind. His response, "the triangles represent the multiplicity of God coming together as one."

I visited London ten years ago on a summer mission trip. And so began my introduction to and education on Islam.

Coming into Londonistan on regular visits from Luton airport (Luton - a key al Q'aeda hotbed in itself, in addition to being the home of the EDL), there always seem to be more and more mosques, Muslim-owned shops, Islamic banks, Halal food restaurants, beardie fanatics, burqas, beardie fanatics with veiled women, and even beardie fanatics with blonde women (some wearing crosses!)... Seems the once-great capital of the British Empire is slowly (or not-so-slowly) turning into a typical "Muslim country". How different to even 15 years ago, when there were only a handful of burqas, and the "Asians" were just as likely to be Sikh or Hindu as Muslim.

Tomorrow I will be again sampling this "tolerant, multicultural paradise". Will be on the lookout for anything of interest.
