Gates of Vienna News Feed 8/12/2010

Gates of Vienna News Feed 8/12/2010Reports have surfaced recently implicating Turkey in chemical attacks against its rebellious Kurdish minority. Additional reports say that Turkey, along with Iran, is helping to supply Hezbollah with new weapons. By the way, this is the same Turkey that is a member of NATO and our staunch ally in the War on Terror.

In other news, the governor of New York offered the developers of the Ground Zero mosque another plot of land — any plot, really; they could take their pick — for their “community center”, if they would give up Park51. The Cordoba Initiative turned the offer down, however — they like the property they have just fine.

Meanwhile, the employment situation in the USA is gloomier than ever. Recent net job loss includes a drop in state and municipal employment, which is a new and ominous development in the current financial crisis.

Offer Rejected to Move Mosque Away From Ground Zero to ‘State Property’

While Paterson has “no objection” to the mosque being built a few blocks away from Ground Zero, he said he’s “very sensitive to the desire of those who are adamant against it to see something else worked out.”

Nice try, Ǟ$$HOLE. You cannot have it both ways. It is not possible to simulatneously have “no objection” to the Ground Zero mosque being built and yet, somehow, be "very sensitive to the desire of those who are adamant against it". It just doesn't work.

This falls into the category of "rotating while standing still" and other self-contradicting ḃüļļşħįŧ.

If New York voters have any sense, “no objection” = NO VOTES.

Facilitating Islam and shari'a law need to become a political third rail for all elected officials.

REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!
