The High Cost of Asylum

Norway is in the midst of an asylum crisis, with an unprecedented number of immigrants arriving from the Third World. These newcomers have to be housed, fed, and clothed, and a much of the burden falls on the country’s overstretched local governments, not just on the central government.

The latest figures show how much the new arrivals are costing the Norwegian taxpayer annually: 6.4 billion kroner ($1.16 billion).

According to The Norway Post:

The high cost of more asylum seekers — NOK 6.4 bill a year

If the high influx of asylum seekers to Norway continues, it may cost the state NOK 6.4 billion a year, a bill that creates problems for the government’s work on a budget for next year.

Asylum in NorwayLatest prognoses show that 15,000 persons will apply for asylum in Norway this year. This is nearly three times as many as estimated in the national budget. The increased costs will give the red/green three-party coalition government far less freedom of action, analysts say.

The State covers the cost of asylum centers, paperwork, and processing, Norwegian lessons, and subsidies and grants for a five-year period to municipalities who settle asylum seekers. Official figures put the costs per head to NOK 425,000.

NOK 6.4 billion is equal to the cost of keeping 75,000 children in municipal day care or 10,000 elderly in nursing homes, according to NRK.

Earth to Norway: you can take care of 10,000 of your old people. Or you can bring in another year’s worth of welfare-dependent asylum seekers.

Your choice.

Or, if your concern is really to help the Sudanese, then send the money to Africa where it will go much further because of the lower cost of living and help many more people than the very costly exercise within Norway of unsuccessfully transplanting what may be rats deserting a sinking ship. Fix the sinking ship instead of swamping the (western) lifeboats.

Set up a Norwegian run village in Sudan as a prototype that can be copied if it succeeds. Teach many of them to "fish" for themselves instead of giving a privileged few a (very expensive) fish in Norway.

Hm... that's a great idea, but it'll never happen. It's not visible enough to the natives. They need to have their faces rubbed in their "racism" every single moment they're awake in order to keep them passive and subservient.

What you need to teach Africans is sexual abstinence, as explained in this article published by Kevin Myers in an Irish newspaper.

K.Myers: "It is nearly 25 years since Ethiopia’s (and Bob Geldof’s) famous Feed The World campaign, and in that time Ethiopia’s population has grown from 33.5 million to 78 million today."

"By 2050, the population of Ethiopia will be 177 million: The equivalent of France, Germany and Benelux today, but located on the parched and increasingly protein-free wastelands of the Great Rift Valley."
