Penalizing Incorrect Votes in Sweden

Recent opinion polls in Sweden show Sverigedemokraterna gaining ground, and the party will almost certainly acquire seats in parliament at the next election. Our Swedish correspondent Reinhard sent us the following report on the political situation in Sweden.

Göran HägglundThere has recently been an interesting development in that sinking ship, Swedish democracy. Every political party in the Swedish parliament has now stated openly that it will not cooperate in any way with the Sweden Democrats (Sverigedemokraterna, Sd) if Sd receive the 4% vote required to enter parliament in the elections in 2010. The reason behind all of this is presumably the latest opinion polls, which for the first time show Sd gaining more than 4%. The first party leader to denounce them was Göran Hägglund, leader of the Christian Democratic party, who launched an attack on Sd during the Almedal week, a political gathering held each year in Almedalen, a park in Visby, Gotland which attracts all the major parties and dozens of different organizations who all try to make their voices heard (including, in 2006, Tariq Ramadan, who was invited by the Social Democrats). Hägglund did his best to portray Sd as Nazis and critics of immigration, which are roughly the same and equally bad as far as the Swedish “moral elite” is concerned. Hägglund’s rhetoric also reveals the multicultural ideology at work.

From DN.se:

The Sweden Democrats say that all problems are caused by people who come here from other countries. But Sweden has always been open towards the outside world, and this has made Sweden what it is today. The solution is not to throw out immigrants, but to make sure that integration works.

The multicultural assumption underlying this statement is that Sweden has always been a country of immigrants, and thus we should keep up the steady influx of new immigrants; those who would like to stem the tide of immigration want to forcefully deport immigrants merely because they are immigrants; and that every problem can be solved by that magic word, “integration”, which has seldom been defined and certainly not put into practice by any of the parliamentary parties. By integration, most Swedish politicians seem to mean that the Swedish population should adjust to the needs of the immigrants, whereas no similar demand is ever placed on the immigrants (to ask them to adjust to Swedish society is, of course, racist).

This situation has been caused by mainstream politicians like Hägglund, who are now turning against Sd, a party which is gaining votes because of their stated aim to actually solve the problems caused by immigration. Hägglund is acting out of worry — the Christian Democrats are down in the polls and will possibly be kicked out of parliament in 2010 — but is oblivious to the fact that Sd is growing because of politicians like him. He will never understand that what he is seeing now is the downside of mass immigration come back to bite him.

Hägglund’s denunciation was followed the next day by a statement from the leader of the Social Democratic (Socialdemokraterna) party and the spokespersons of the Green Party (Miljöpartiet). The Social Democrats are currently led by Mona Sahlin, the single most despised politician in Sweden, which is saying quite a lot. A few of her illustrative quotes on immigration and Swedish society will suffice to explain why:
- - - - - - - - -
Mona Sahlin“I think that that’s what makes a lot of Swedes envious of you immigrants. You have a culture, an identity, a history, something that binds you together. And what do we have? We have midsummer and silly stuff like that.”

“If two people with equal merits apply for a job at a workplace with few immigrants the one who’s called Mohammed should get the job.”

“My view is that everyone who lives in Sweden is Swedish — because we live here, because we all breathe the same air, because we’re all a part of society.”

“Sweden takes in more refugees than any other country in Europe. We have done this proudly despite there having been large difficulties. Shall we close our borders and say: ‘We’ve had a hard time integrating immigrants so you can’t come here and receive asylum now?’”

And that’s not even mentioning her friendly relationship to Islamists or her party’s cooperation with the Muslim Brotherhood.

As for the Green Party, they’re quite possibly even more insane than the Left Party (Vänsterpartiet). Their official charter makes for entertaining and depressing reading :

“Working efficiently to combat illegal discrimination is one of the most effective cures for segregation. Those who are discriminated against shall therefore have a right to legal aid against those who discriminate. Those who discriminate shall be judged harshly, swiftly and shall be made to pay high fines.”

“The justice system must be based on a view of humanity which provides everyone with rich potential to develop. Alternatives should mainly be sought instead of jail sentences, which are seldom successful in preventing crime.”

“We want to do away with the grade system [in today’s schools]. Grades contribute considerably to stress and are not a fair and objective system of measuring the individual’s potential.”

“It is important that one starts working for equality at an early age, even children need counterweights to the gender roles which girls and boys are raised into. Therefore all teachers and personnel in child care services must finish an education in equality before they are given their exams.”

“We do not believe in artificial borders. We have a vision of unrestricted immigration and emigration, where people have the right to live and work wherever they please… We want Sweden to become an international role model by producing a plan to implement unrestricted immigration.”

The Social Democrats and the Green Party, with whom the Social Democrats will probably try to form a government in 2010 (they’re tired of the Left Party), stated the day after Hägglund’s announcement that they also will refuse to cooperate with the Sweden Democrats if Sd enter parliament.

Their main reason for not wanting to cooperate is the false assumption that the Sweden Democrats want to deport immigrants, whereas Sd has stated clearly that the only candidates for deportation will be immigrants who commit serious crimes. Once again the underlying assumptions of the multicultural ideology are easy to spot: “It is through investing in people that our country becomes stronger.” Denmark is yet again held up as an example of the “extreme right” gaining ground in Europe.

Extreme right parties are becoming ever more common in European parliaments. Conservative parties continue to make themselves dependent on the extreme right. […] The most horrifying example is Denmark: the Danish right has formed a government with the aid of Dansk Folkeparti’s 25 mandates. In exchange the DF has introduced an inhumane refugee policy and a number of other reforms which curtail the rights of the country’s minorities. […] In other European countries we can see how much it costs to seek support from extreme right parties. In Berlusconi’s Italian government the Italian fascists are free to formulate policies which successively curtail the rights of minorities, not least the Roma.

This article was followed by a round-up of statements from the remaining parliamentary parties, all of whom stated that they would refuse to work with Sd. Sd’s response was to state that they had not decided whom they would seek to cooperate with if they entered parliament, but that they would certainly not “contribute to a dictatorship-hugging and Swede-hostile person like Mona Sahlin becoming prime minister”.

All of this amply demonstrates two facts about the Swedish political establishment:

1. When the opposition to their ideology becomes a real threat, they react, and
2. When they react, they do so by stating that they will all work together to ignore those voters who chose to vote for the only party that does not actively support mass immigration.

Which means ignoring the votes of roughly 220,000 Swedish citizens (judging by the number who voted in the last election) who will give Sd the 4% vote needed to enter parliament, where they will… do what, exactly?

Well, my suggestion would be to hold seminars explaining what the word “democracy” actually means. The other political parties sure could use a refresher course.

Suicidal. That's all that can be said. They literally want to destroy their country.

“We do not believe in artificial borders. We have a vision of unrestricted immigration and emigration, where people have the right to live and work wherever they please… We want Sweden to become an international role model by producing a plan to implement unrestricted immigration.”

Total insanity. Why not just dissolve the government then and let anarchy run wild? I suppose because the jackbooted enforcers of multiculturalism won't be able to do their job of intimidating and jailing the Swedes, real Swedish people, who refuse to disappear into multicultural Sweden.

Unrestricted immigration? Really? how big is sweden's population, 9 million? How quickly would it become the minority with 'unrestricted immigration' ? Two days? Five?

How do they intend to pay welfare for the three billion impoverished immigrants that will be showing up soon?

Sometimes the mask is pulled off and, almost unintentionally, the marxist devil shows its ugly face in completely naked detail. That quote goes right up to the top alongside Tobias Hubinette's:

“To feel and even think that the white race is inferior in every conceivable way is natural with regards to its history and current actions. Let the Western countries of the white race perish in blood and suffering. Long live the multicultural, racially mixed and classless ecological society! Long live anarchy!”

Though of course, nothing can really top that one.

They make some nice cheese in Sweden, though...

I can almost see Sweden from my sleeping room window, living on Amager in Copenhagen.

On the other side of Øresund is Malmö, visible from the beach with plain sight, a town overwhelmed by islamic immigration - around 40% now, IIRC.

Can't help feeling sorry for he swedes, I can see what islam does to my danish neighborhood - it's changed from a purely danish warkers quarter to a place with ever-pregnant, burqa- and nijab-wearing women and their teen age boys all over.

The immigration lobby is a gathering of pezzonovante criminals. History will judge them.

Muslims are using Human Rights Tribunals to advance their agenda. Those who would assist them need to know that '
that agenda is anti-gay. Some minorities are more equal than others.

Wahabi exterminators of Gays point to Persian Shiite poets who were gay, and invoke apostasy. A US gay publishing house - I read
this too long ago to remember the name - put out several centuries old books by Arab Gays. There is a reference to one poem on
his Hindu condemnation of the "prophet's" sensual heaven for murderers.

"Can't help feeling sorry for the Swedes." Oh really? Why is that? The ballot box can solve this problem easily - but as of yet most Swedes (I suspect {I do not live in Sweden}) are too busy thinking about today to consider tomorrow, so they vote for their own destruction. Why should one feel sorry for those who go along with their own demise and vote for traitors? All people need to do is put their cross in another box and, like magic, a solution will be found.

This situation is not restricted to the Swedes of course, much of Europe suffers the same madness. Democracy can work - but only if the people make it work.

Congratulations -- albeit sad ones -- to Reinhard, for disseminating in English those two damning quotations from the Swedish Left:

"I think that that’s what makes a lot of Swedes envious of you immigrants. You have a culture, an identity, a history, something that binds you together. And what do we have? We have midsummer and silly stuff like that."

And:

"We do not believe in artificial borders. We have a vision of unrestricted immigration and emigration, where people have the right to live and work wherever they please… We want Sweden to become an international role model by producing a plan to implement unrestricted immigration."

This is the first time I have read in such a clear, outspoken way, the real agenda of the Western Left: a) destroy Western civilisation, b) in order to do that, open up borders and allow unlimited immigration.

This agenda is obvious from all statements, arguments and policies of the Left, but usually its leaders takes care to obfuscate their real aims to a degree.

Not in Sweden anymore, it seems.

If and when we have a Nuremberg tribunal on Islamofascism, those two statements will stand as the undisputable proof of high treason by the political elites of Europe.

It's amazing how clearly those statements by Swedish leftists articulate the true plans the Left has for the West. As others have said, it's all about the destruction of Western culture and civilization.

The problem in Sweden and elsewhere in the West is that there's a substantial portion of the population who already has been brainwashed into thinking along those lines. You need look no further than the US and the fact that even after all the revelations about Obama's unsavory associations with known anti-American slimeballs, he still has lots of support within the Democrat Party. Sweden may well be one of the canarys in the coal mine, but the forces at work there are the same ones working against our civilization in every Western country.

You can't make integration work when the immigrants have no intention of integrating, but only of foisting themselves above all others. It is time to force the immigrants hand, integrate or leave; if they don't, immediately deport them.

Another thought - if any of these European countries make money from tourism, they can forget about making money in the future. Tourists want to visit the distinct cultures of other nations, not view the demise of them.

Quote from the article: “We want to do away with the grade system [in today’s schools]. Grades contribute considerably to stress and are not a fair and objective system of measuring the individual’s potential.”

This Green Party is definitely crazy. They sound like American liberals who try to dumb everything down in our education system. Why do Americans do so badly in school compared with other countries? Because of those idiot liberals who want to make everything "fair" to everyone. It's so ridiculous it makes me sick. Not everyone is equally intelligent - intelligence is mostly genetic (in my opinion) and differs widely in the population. And there actually is a college here that I know of that doesn't give grades. It's called New College of Florida. Sometimes people are so incredibly stupid I can't stand it. If exposure to stupidity were lethal, I'd be long dead.

It seems to me that Denmark is the only country with even half a clue, LOL!
Wouldn't you just love to plop those windbags into an apartment in the middle of an immigrant Muslim ghetto for 6 months and watch what happens? That really is the problem with all Western politicians, they have no idea what the impact of their rhetoric and decision making is on the average citizen.
As to Joanne's thought about tourism, she is absolutely right. Several months ago I made the point that I vote with my filthy Yankee tourist dollars... I am hoping to take a trip to Denmark in the near future. I wouldn't be caught dead in Brussels...

Good point. Exactly the same situation here in the UK, but our traitors in the mainstream political parties are aware that it is still too soon to be open about things for fear of frightening the horses, as evidenced by the recent media furore over the Archbishop saying that the way things are going, sharia is inevitable (quite obviously true) and the lefty teacher forcing her pupils to pay homage to Islam (rapidly increasing number of muslim pupils plus lefty West-hating teachers equals ... what what the bleeding hell do you think ???)

The fact that in Sweden they are apparently not too worried about stating it all quite candidly should tell us that they regard their position as invulnerable. When you are confident that your ideology is so deeply entrenched in the politics / media / education of your country .... well, you can afford to brag a little, can't you?

Good luck to the Sweden Democrats, a political solution to all this is still possible. 4% can turn into 20% within a couple of years. Here in the UK 5 years ago the BNP was regularly polling 5% or less in local elections, now they regularly get 20 - 30%.

"When you are confident that your ideology is so deeply entrenched in the politics / media / education of your country .... well, you can afford to brag a little, can't you?" (Piggy)

Right. And that points us to one of the ways Muslims might be defeated: they cannot help bragging.

Many of them have started to sing the song of "You can't do a thing against us now, we're here to stay, we breed faster than you do, we'll have it our way whether you want it or not", etc.

What they do not realise, however, is how reckless it is to state openly their true aims while still a tiny minority. After all, what we're talking about here is 2%, 5%, 8% of the general population, right?

How clever is it to say: we're here to take your country from your own hands, and dispose of your civilisation, when you're so few? And generally not very educated? And not very wealthy? And usually not holding power posts?

Not very much, if you ask me.

But there's this mixture of Arab arrogance and Allah-is-on-our-side stupidity. They can't help rejoicing in advance.

And that, with a little luck, will be the end of them. There's no way the vast majority will tolerate this for long when they will realise what it is all about.

Well, an educated guess would be that the entire time they're being mugged/raped/beaten by Muslims, they'll be thinking like Robert Fisk that they deserve it and would do the same in the Muslims' position. The females will then happily don burkas and feel "liberated" from all the leering looks they never got from Swedish men.

Leftism is a mental disease with a strong sado-masochistic component, another commonality with Islam.
