More on the Exeter Nail-Bomber

Nicky ReillyThe latest news on Nicky Reilly, the alleged Exeter nail-bomber, describes him as an autistic young man who was brainwashed into Islamic radicalism.

If you read the details in today’s Telegraph, you’ll notice that he’s more accurately described as having Asperger’s Syndrome, which is slightly different from autism.

[Update: A correction, via Zonka in the comments:

“Asperger’s Syndrome is a form of high-functioning autism, not ‘slightly different from autism’. Autism is a general diagnosis and people with autism are generally as different from each other as normal people are, and the term autism is as meaningful as ‘dental problems’, which also covers a lot of more precise diagnoses.

“Sorry to nitpick here, but having autistic kids, I am tired of the general ignorance of the autism issue.”]

You’ll also notice that Mr. Reilly himself claimed to be “brainwashed”, even as he continued under the sway of his radical indoctrinators. Somehow he retained enough sense to recognize what had happened to him and describe it to his neighbors.

According to the article:

The man detained over a suspected suicide bomb attack in Exeter was an autistic 22-year-old allegedly radicalised by a gang of suspected Muslim radicals who were being monitored by police and MI5, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

Investigating officers said that Nicky Reilly received a text message of “encouragement” hours before the nailbomb attack in a family restaurant.

Police have made the first arrests as the net closed in on the suspected radicals alleged to have groomed the bomber.

Sources close to the investigation said that the alleged corruption of a vulnerable young man — who suffered from Asperger’s Syndrome, had a history of self harm and had attempted suicide several times — was a “new horrific low” for Muslim extremism in Britain.

This may be a “new horrific low” for Muslims in the UK — I’ll let our British readers make the case for or against this assertion — but it’s certainly not a new low for Islam in general. The use of children and the mentally retarded, of the weak, the vulnerable, and the helpless, is now standard operating procedure throughout the bloody margins of the Ummah. A brain-damaged youth is simply a human remote-control explosive device for the psychopaths who direct his actions.
- - - - - - - - -
Detectives believe Mr Reilly planned to commit suicide and allegedly had help in constructing three “rudimentary but viable” bombs that had never been seen in Britain before. They were constructed from sodium hydroxide, aluminium foil strips and an essential oil, combined with kerosene.

It was confirmed that there were three devices in a bag packed with nails. One was partially detonated in the toilets of a restaurant in the Princesshay centre. The other two failed to go off.

“It could be set off by shaking the mixture but we are still not sure if the device was being primed or it was actually planned to be set it off in the toilets, in the belief it would blow out the whole restaurant” the source added.

“If it had gone up it would certainly have caused a huge fireball and the idea that this was happening in a family restaurant packed with children is awful.”

So this is what almost happened in Exeter. How aware were the authorities of what was going on?

Special Branch officers were monitoring a group of alleged radicals in Plymouth, where Mr Reilly lives with his mother. Early investigations suggest comparisons with an al-Qaeda “inspired” attack but not one necessarily directed by a senior figure.

The source said: “We were aware of this group and of Mr Reilly himself but he was right on the fringes of a group that did not appear to be planning any attacks.

Now we know that Special Branch were watching the Plymouth Group, yet they had no inkling of what was being planned. If Mr. Reilly had been luckier or more competent… What then?

“At the moment we are looking at 200 separate groups and this was just one of those. We were observing them at a local level but had no detailed surveillance.”

Two hundred separate groups! How many of them are busy training their own versions of Nicky Reilly? And how may of those human auto-destruct devices will be smarter and more skilled than the would-be nail-bomber of Exeter?

A friend of Mr Reilly said he suffered from Asperger’s — a form of autism — and tried to commit suicide after problems with his girlfriend in his late teens. He was sectioned, and after being released from a mental hospital he was allegedly groomed by a group of radicals.

Locals said Mr Reilly changed his name to Mohammed Rasheed last year and claimed he was “brainwashed” by men, who he would meet at a local internet cafe, kebab shop and outside a fish and chip shop.

This is the strangest part of the story: Mr. Reilly knew he had been brainwashed. Was he unable to stop himself from continuing in his deadly mission? Had he become an automaton, without the agency or volition to change the course of his own behavior?

And what about the “locals” who knew about the brainwashing? What did they think was going on?

Plymouth has a 3,500 strong Muslim community but [Omar Siddiqui, president of the Islamic Society at the university] said he could not believe the possibility that Mr Reilly had been radicalised in the city.

Mr Siddiqui said: “The Islamic community in Plymouth is very peaceful and we have never had any problems her at the mosque or the university.”

He said of Mr Reilly: “He always struck me as being not quite well in the head but he seemed a nice guy. He was always polite and greeted me nicely. He did seem to be extremely religious after his conversion.”

So here’s the story: a nice guy, not quite well in the head, falls in with a new set of companions who introduce him to the joys of Islam. Somehow, despite his mental disability, he learns how to build explosive devices and then tries to blow himself up in a toilet stall.

And yet the local Islamic community is “very peaceful”.

Who are you going to believe, Omar Siddiqui or your lying eyes?

Siddiqui says that the Islamic community in Plymouth is very peaceful...blah blah blah. I'm so sick of reading this oxymoronic rubbish. Islam is a scourge upon the world, no one can trust a belief system that permits lying in order to promote itself. Therefore, because we know of Islam's history of violence, because of their stated intention and because their unnegotiable duty to install the Caliphate worldwide, Islam needs to be removed from Britain - and any other nation that does not wish to be incorporated into the Caliphate.
I think it is going to take more than another bombing or the discovery of a bomb plot before anything will be done to remove this cancer from Britain. Bomb plots are not unique (to Islam) and Britons need to understand that Islam IS unique in that unlike say, the IRA or Bolshevik bombers, that this is how Islam operates ALL THE TIME. They never stop killing. They kill their disobedient daughters, they behead or stone adulterous women, they behead disbelievers, they decapitate, amputate, bury alive and stone, they hate us and they are living amongst us. I believe that it is not until an English person is beheaded in England under their law, Sharia, that the West will face up to this horror. Only when the evidence of the savagery and barbarism of this imported violent belief system is flowing in the streets of Britain will the people of Britain realise that the enemy is within the gates and he has the key.

Well done Decatur you could not have said it better.
No nation have tasted so much misery and pain like Iranian from this killing machine called EVIL ISLAM and for more than fourteen centuries we are still struggling to reject it ( thanks to Britain and America in 1979 when they delivered us Terrorist Khomeini).

Surely it was the French who gave Khomeini a base from which to ferment his Islamic Revolution, and who faciltated his return to Iran...?

And It all looked so promising for us "Brits" on Thursday night!

Gordon Brown had suffered yet another humiliating defeat in the Crewe and Nantwich by-election, and then Islam goes and invades our celebrations and privacy – yet again!!

So what can I say?

People of low intelligence are generally shunned, ignored, or thought of as “half wits”, by the majority of people in our Societies.
Therefore to make up for their mental deficiencies, and Social inadequecies, such people attempt to create bonds by agreeing with, and conforming too, the ideals and beliefs of anyone who may show them personal warmth or affection. (at the outset anyway)

Id like to tell of an observation, that I witnessed a number years of ago.
I had gone to school with a lad, of whom it could certainly be described as below average intelligence, but other than that, he didn’t have a cross word to say, or a bad bone in his body.
I came across him again a few years later, and he was now a fully-fledged “Punk Rocker” – still daft as a brush, but full of fun, and enjoyable company for all in his group.
He had also “worked out” in a friend’s gym, and grown to quite a size.
The last time I met him, He’d changed completely.

Got in with members of the far right: “Combat Eighteen”. Now covered in Nazi tattoos, in and out of prison for violent racial assaults, and a deep seated hatred of everything and everybody, that didn’t share his newly found “ideology”.
Everyone who used to enjoy his company, now loathed his very presence.
I was gob smacked!
I asked what had happened and the reply was unanimous.
Because of his size and power, the far right had seen him as a “useful idiot” to fight in THEIR battles and THEIR wars.
They had befriended, and indoctrinated him, with what he mistakenly took as friendship and interest, and he had now become no more than a “moron puppet”, to be let off the leash at the time of the “Combat eighteen leaderships” own choosing.

I hear that he’s now currently serving a long prison sentence in Durham jail for a horrendous racially motivated attack. His crime? Perhaps the same as Reilly. He was both radicalised and then brainwashed by extremist SCUM!
Sure!, he wasn’t packaged off as a “Suicide bomber”, programmed to kill indiscriminately, but if they had asked him, what then??

The point I’m trying to make here, is that this tactic has always been used by extreme and hate filled ideologies.
It’s just that with Islam, Muslims have managed to stoop to a new low of horrific depravity, using the mentally ill and Socially disaffected, in an outright attempt to perpetrate unspeakable carnage and human suffering, upon the rest of the living world.

But why are we really surprised?

Just to nit-pick a little more -- people with Asperger's (Aspies) are not "brain-damaged" nor "not quite well in the head."

Aspies are simply wired differently -- neurologically speaking that is.

I know whereof I speak since several of my family members -- myself included -- are Aspies. Aspies tend to be geeky and/or nerdy and awkward socially. We tend to be logical and like systems. We are your engineers and scientists -- and train-spotters. ;-) We are anything but brain damaged.

Unfortunately, because we are nerdy, we often don't fit well into society. Depression is a common problem in the Aspie world. I suspect this young man was suffering from depression and so was vulnerable to being brainwashed. This, perhaps, was one of the first times in his life he was made to feel part of a group (remember the geeks in your school that were teased and left out?). Too bad he had fallen in with the wrong sort of group.

The fact that he knew he was being brainwashed is probably due to the fact that he is an Aspie -- despite everything, he couldn't help but see the logic of the situation.

ISLAM DEVOURS ITS YOUNG

There can be few more damning indictments of any creed. Children represent our future. That Muslims cheerfully hurl their young into Islam's ideological furnace is one of the most incontrovertible demonstrations of why it no longer has any place in the civilized world.

As always, please feel free to identify even one single redeeming trait of Islam. THERE ARE NONE.

“If it had gone up it would certainly have caused a huge fireball and the idea that this was happening in a family restaurant packed with children is awful.”

Using children to kill children. Is there anything more barbaric?

Mr. Reilly knew he had been brainwashed. Was he unable to stop himself from continuing in his deadly mission? Had he become an automaton, without the agency or volition to change the course of his own behavior?

It is an extremely common device for cults to recruit outcasts and the disaffected by giving them a sense of "belonging" that was heretofore lacking or absent. Seeing that this young man had been unsuccessful in his personal relationships, even a sham sense of acceptance probably overwhelmed his own alarm at being brainwashed. As with so many women who willingly endure exceptionally abusive relationships, even a minimal sense of "bonding" can overcome a huge percentage of good judgement.

Decatur: Islam is a scourge upon the world, no one can trust a belief system that permits lying in order to promote itself.

At day's end, this is the bottom line. Islam is rendered entirely irredeemable or salvageable by its embrace of taqiyya. There will NEVER be any way of accurately and reliably determining that any Muslim on earth has genuinely and authentically rejected taqiyya or kitman.

That being the case, there is simply no possibility of believing that Islam has ever or will ever manage to pacify itself. For this one reason, amongst a host of other good causes, Islam must be broken on the wheel of its own perfidy. It is destined for history's scrap-heap of outmoded and dysfunctional creeds. The rest is all just window dressing.

Anyone who somehow managed to ignore all of the other Palestinian children being turned into human bombs, only to be horrified by this particular travesty, obviously has not been paying attention.

There will be no end to this savagery until Islam has ceased to be of influence in our world. NO END. EVER.

P.S. - Provided he is reasonably intelligent, it was probably a piece of cake for this young man to work out how to build a bomb. That's exactly the sort of technical thing Aspies excel at.

Ever watch Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel? One of the hosts, Jamie Hyneman, is your stereotypic example of an Aspie.

Without wishing to indict all "Aspies" at once: How could it be a "piece of cake for this young man to work out how to build a bomb", without the least twinge of conscience that might inhibit most sane people?

I'm well aware of how many "nerdish" folk manage to detach themselves from more traditional societal roles. Goths and the typically death-obsessed X & Y generations are proof enough of it. That, in no way, explains why Nicky Reilly somehow overcame his own internal compunctions with respect to inflicting massive harm upon innocent people.

There is a fundamental disconnect going on here and we'd damn well better identify it at the onset. Clearly, "Aspies" aren't the cause. Were they, all of them would have been rounded up at the earliest opportunity and trotted off to the nearest available maximum security prison.

This returns us to those who gladly recruit the most simple-minded and vulnerable in plots that inflict horrific injury.

Can "aspies" detect, early-on, the malicious intent of those who plot such malignant outcomes?

Clearly, NO.

Therefore, it becomes increasingly clear that interdicting those who seek to do the greatest harm must involve intercepting them at their earliest stages. I'd warrant that such early intervention could include such events as Mosque Construction and the Innaguration of New Islamic Organizations. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

'Nuff said. It is evermore apparent that we face an enemy who attacks on all fronts whilst we constrain ourselves to prosecuting only the most obvious or egregious instances. That WILL change. Be it through several nuclear terrorist attacks or the constant gang-rape of young Western women at Muslim hands. Sooner or later, EITHER will will produce the necessary response from a rational society.

The use of people with impaired judgment is nothing new in the history of Islam.

The Ottoman Turks had a special corps of such people. The Basibozuk. The name means literally "damaged head".

The Basibozuk were used in a human wave attack on the city of Constantinople in 1453. This attack was typical of the way the Basibozuk were used.

The Basibozuk were infamous for their lack of discipline, death-seeking and bloodthirst.

It seems that the corps of the Basibozuk has been resurrected.

I think the problem for us lies with the fact the vast majority of people simply have not got the slightest idea about what is happening to the world. We read these blogs and know that Islamification is only a few decades away. But there are so many people who either don’t believe it could ever happen, find it too overwhelming(sometimes the magnitude of the Islamic threat gives me pause), they find it too difficult and resort to the ‘ignorance is bliss’ mentality. How many of us here at this site know of people, either close acquaintances or just passing company who give you sideways glances if they hear you mention Islamism, how many look blankly back at you when you mention this issue. I find these people ALL THE TIME and I’m constantly staggered by the ignorance displayed. What has caused this enormous gap in national awareness? Why are the majority of people unaware even after 9/11 and 7/7 so complacent?
Here’s my take on it. Western nations have been infiltrated by the Far Left. The Leftwing media, the Multicult indoctrination and education, threats from government and ‘hate speech’ legislation, all this contributes to keeping ‘the masses’ in ignorance. Imagine the difference if every day, every tabloid and TV News show informed us about the abuse and threat from Islam, just how different would our nations be? Well for a start many many millions of people would be thinking like us.
(How the Left loathes the internet and talk radio. I’m posting from the US where the Far Leftists like Clinton and Obama are threatening to bring in the ‘Fairness doctrine’ as a legislative fix to curb Conservative talk radio, and in 98 Hillary told Reuters "We're all going to have to rethink how we deal with the Internet. As exciting as these new developments are, there are a number of serious issues without any kind of editing function or gatekeeping function... .". All this will restrict the ‘new media’ and is designed to inhibit Conservative discussion and blogging. Also be aware that there is a movement to get Europe to control the Internet)
But I digress. From what I can determine, the Far Left had originally intended gain power by using ‘the masses’ as a revolutionary block, so they filled their minds with the politics of envy and class hatred. But what seems to have happened is that the masses were not interested in a revolution, they liked their 9-5 jobs, tinkering with their cars on the weekend, family life and so forth. Not willing to give up on their Totalitarian dream, the Left has discarded the working people of Europe, (remember their crowing “What about the workers?), they’ve cast them aside as worthless and ineffectual for their purposes and turned to the mass importation of a 3rd world voting block. But the Left must keep Britons ignorant because as we here know, knowledge is power. To the Left’s advantage they already control education, the law, much of politics and most of the media, and they might have just done it. Unfortunately for them, their imported voting block is something of a Pandora’s Box and as it opens we are witnessing the traitors on the Left flailing about desperately looking to avoid taking blame for the destruction of Europe. Ah yes, Social Cohesion. Just what we need. With Islam? Sound like another winning strategy to anyone!?

It's simply because they don't think like we do. I imagine this is difficult to understand for someone who isn't aspergic or hasn't experienced them up close. I have.

My wife is aspergic, a fact I think I've mentioned before, which has lead to some... "interesting" arguments in the past.

An "aspie" is pretty much the definition of the unaware scientist stereotype of film and fiction. You know, the one who is in it for the knowledge and is usually portrayed as immoral and uncaring - but in reality, they simply don't realise the moral implications of the work. It's not that they don't care, it just doesn't occur to them. The pursuit of knowledge takes the highest priority to these people. Any other considerations very often simply don't occur to them. Oppenheimer didn't realise the moral dimension of the bomb until it had actually been tested for the first time. Warner Von Braun also strikes me as classically Aspergic; he simply didn't consider the moral implications of his work, he was socially ill-adapted and his pursuit of knowledge was paramount. Now it must have occurred to him at some point to prompt his most famous remark but, to start with, no doubt, his first motivation was the acquisition of every single piece of information on how rockets should work.

Now my experience with my wife - though I probably shouldn't assume this applies to anyone else - has given me the impression that Aspergics are capable of consciously holding contradictory ideas in their head. Most people can't do this without causing cognitive dissonance but she can, and she can use to to parallel process (learning about latin poetry by translating german into english when she's a native Swede, for example; she can think in two or three languages at once when she's on a roll). It's a skill that can be very useful if you're trying to compare arguments or hypotheses, which would no doubt be why aspergers is highly indicated when you're a scientist or an engineer. It can also be something of a weakness, letting you freely process a thought divorced from or contradictory to everything you actually believe. This ability would go a long way to explaining this man's statements. The moral implications of what he was doing would become clear at some point but, he'd simply run it along a separate mental thought process, contradicting his own morality with ease and without realising the implications of what he was doing in anything other than an abstract sense. This dogged pursuit of something to its logical conclusion is an element of Aspergers; the thought of not taking his path to its logical end would actually be a very strange one, regardless of the consequences.

What I'm trying to say is, people with Aspergers simply don't think the way we do. It's much, much harder to justify holding them to the same standard you'd hold me, for example, if I were to suddenly convert and go around blowing stuff up. I'd be guilty of making that conscious choice with the knowledge of what I was doing. Someone with Aspergers might never have made that choice, might not even believe a word of what they're saying, and still carry out the attack because they're fascinated by the process and the acquisition of new information.

I actually mentioned the idea of making a bomb to my wife. She thought about it and then her eyes suddenly lit up: "knowledge!" she was thinking. "New information!" I had to distract her with talking about economics until it went away.

All of which is to say, the problem isn't, as you say, people with aspergers or anyone else with what we collectively call mental illness. The problem is that we as a society are unwilling to admit that we have an exploitative cult sitting in our midst. Islam simply has to be removed. Completely.

X said...

In Addendum, Reilly also has a history of other mental disorders and apparently a mental age of 10. The Aspergers alone wouldn't be enough to explain his initial involvement. That's been bothering me a little, you can probably glean that from the way I've been trying to explore a motivation for it. Apsergers as part of a mixture of syndromes and illnesses, it's a perfect storm I guess.

Zenster said...

[Emphasis Added]

Le Bingo!

As Decatur also pondered, the aforementioned "unwillingness" represents an essential paradigm shift that too many people remain resistant to. It is repulsive in the extreme to imagine that nuclear terrorist attacks will be required to sufficiently dislodge people from their "comfort zone", whereby they will finally begin taking all of this seriously.

Unfortunately, one of Western civilization's greatest achievements—half a century without a major war—has bred up ill-educated complacency rather than a fierce sense of protectiveness and appreciation for our hard-won peace.

It is that dull-witted enjoyment of freedom that permits so many to ignore how it is being steadily eroded. As YorkshireMiner (AKA Pat Condell) noted in one of his recent online diatribes, “Appeasing Islam”, by following the canons of Politically Correct thought and Multiculturalism we are already making that “down payment on tyranny”.

If we can’t bring ourselves to say what‘s in our hearts when it truly matters, then we’ve already given up our freedom and with it, the freedom of future generations, which is something that we’ve got no right to do. We didn’t earn this freedom, it was handed to us on a plate by people who did earn it with their lives. We don’t own it, we’re custodians of it. It’s not ours to give away.

I dread to think just how much of that precious freedom will have been relinquished before people suddenly wake up about how dearly they once loved the right to speak freely and openly about whatever they pleased.

I'll compare this ongoing problem to a modern workplace phenomenon. As the Human Resource types are so fond of saying: There is no “I” in “Team Work”. This smug disregard of how important Individual Excellence—a vital component of any winning team—truly is reflects a damaging and dreadfully mistaken overemphasis upon homogeneity of thought or conduct.

Perish the thought that management staff might actually have to do its specific job, namely manage the people working for them. Heaven forefend that there should be even a speck of friction in the office. Better that everyone get along well, even if it is at the cost of achievement. The point being that highly productive personalities who might exhibit the least shred of abrasiveness are thrown under the wheels in favor of an easygoing work atmosphere. While I’m all in favor of a courteous corporate environment, this exaltation of workplace serenity has perverted harmony into tranquility.

This is management’s own demented version of: “Peace at any price”. In pursuit of a non-contentious workplace, the ultimate team has become a gaggle of zombies from which no sparks will ever fly. Not just of friction but of any inspiration as well.

This workaday microcosm projects upon the macrocosm of society with discouraging ease. Lack of any agitation or disturbance has become so over-valued whereby anything that remotely threatens it is now subject to legal action. The social mantra has become Rodney King’s delusional plea: “Can’t we all just get along?”

The answer being: No, we cannot all just “get along”. Tolerating the intolerable is a Liberal vice currently being counterfeited as virtue. Just as individuality and corporate productivity have been sacrificed upon the altar of tranquility and ease-of-management, so has freedom of speech and expression been shackled in favor of appeasing those who will not and cannot be appeased. Negotiation has become such a dominant feature of maintaining this last half-century of world peace that few people are capable of remembering how it does not always work. Since negotiation is the only tool Western politicians deem acceptable, it is applied in all circumstances, whether it is appropriate or not. Due to this, we have arrived at a point where, because our only tool is a hammer (i.e., negotiation), all problems appear to us as nails (i.e., negotiable situations).

Islam has only begun to put the lie to this smarmy and fallacious notion. Europe’s Vulture Elite still pursue their favored course of “nuanced negotiation”, even as event after event shows them to be complete and utter fools for it. America’s own Traitor Elite continues to drink deep from the hemlock cup of Political Correctness and Multiculturalism even as it poisons all chance of resisting Islam’s insidious sedition.

Again, tranquility has been intentionally mistaken for harmony, in the exact same way that temporarily peaceful integration has been allowed to masquerade as real assimilation. In the same fashion that corporate managers have overvalued ease-of-management, so have our politicians willingly accepted even the most sham pretense of social cohesion—as in, Islamic hudna—over the prickly task of defending personal liberty and our nation’s essential freedoms. They would rather we all be that proverbial Frog in the Pot than dare to make an unpleasant leap of imagination or take any disagreeable action that might save us.

The lampposts await these spineless, vote-whoring appeasers.

I was just trying to point out that Aspies are not, by definition, brain damaged and that he therefore would not have had to overcome some intellectual difficulties in making a bomb.

I can't, of course, speak for how or why he could overcome the conscience part. The only thing I can think of is the depression and/or other emotional disturbances he was experiencing that led to the disconnect in his mind between his conscience and his reason. Perhaps he never had a conscience, I dunno.

I just was trying to clarify that he prolly didn't have any intellectual problems to overcome. I think they were probably emotional ones -- and apparently he didn't manage to overcome those -- and that it was the emotional problems that this group of Muslims preyed upon.

Which was quite clear.

I can't, of course, speak for how or why he could overcome the conscience part.

I believe that Archonix covered that quite well, regardless of how disturbing the implications. The central point being that having Islam available on tap is like leaving a loaded handgun laying around in a daycare center.

Islam has intentionally refined its ability to overcome scruples, conscience and any sense of ethics or moral compass. It is this abhorrent voiding of all compassion and rationality that relegates it to history's scrap heap of failed ideologies.

ANY organism or ideology that consistently cannibalizes its young must go extinct. In Islam's case, the civilized world is honor-bound to declare rapacity of its sort as actionable and follow through with the elimination of such filth.

Plainly put, Islam's moral compass is demagnetized. The ummah's ship is destined for a disastrous collision that will cause the death of many Muslims. That much is entirely unavoidable as things currently stand.

What remains incumbent upon the West is to ensure that this morally rudderless spiritual garbage scow is not allowed to ram our own ship of state. Nor must we allow this sewage tanker to ground itself over here and pollute our world beyond rehabilitation.

Worst of all—like any effluent pond—even if the MME (Muslim Middle East) were left alone and somehow managed to leave us alone, it would still continue breeding up enough filth and decay to pose a health hazard to the outside world. One need only to witness the resurgence of polio in Islamic majority countries.

There remains the final undeniable fact that—sooner or later—Islam's ongoing crimes against humanity must be brought to a conclusive halt. Such vicious barbarity is an offense to all civilized people and even if Islam's depravity were inflicted upon Muslims alone, it would still need to be stopped.

This sort of cruelty and savagery no longer has any place in the modern world. That Islam so tenaciously clings to its barbarous traditions only redoubles the importance of crushing it at our earliest opportunity. Islam is nothing more or less than a standing affront to all decent human life.

There is the Palestinian rip off of Disney and Sesame Street type characters in kiddie shows meant to teach the tykes not their numbers and the alphabet, but to groom them to be or support suicide bombers.

For large-scale horror, during the Iran-Iraq war, the Iranians sent hundreds of brainwashed young children called the Basiji to roll across mined fields toward the enemy, clutching in their hands plastic gold keys they'd been told were their keys to heaven. It's said hardened Iraqi veterans cried on witnessing this depraved sight.

randian: That would imply Islam has or had a moral compass.

I've watched people here at Gates of Vienna attempt to impute morality in Islam due to its emphasis upon temperence. If ever Islam did have any sort of moral compass, it has long since been thoroughly demagnetized.

More importantly, that device opened the door for the more enjoyable nautical comparisons of Islam to a "rudderless spiritual garbage scow" and "sewage tanker" which more than justified such a minor presumption.

Since Laine mentions the Iran-Iraq war, I'll also repeat an earlier comment of mine.

Between them, Iran and Iraq spent eight long years killing a HALF MILLION Muslims only so they could grind to a bloody stalemate with no clear winner.

Imagine the message America sent to the MME (Muslim Middle East) when our troops arrived and took Baghdad in THREE SHORT WEEKS. In military headquarters throughout the MME you could probably hear the sphincters tighten audibly.

A major lesson to be carried away from the Iran-Iraq war is how it represents what Muslims do best. Namely, kill other Muslims. If they slaughter each other with such total abandon, little imagination is required to understand how the West will fare at their hands.
