The Official Dhimmi in Annapolis

Pamela has gone MSM! An editorial under her byline is posted today at Israel National News:

United States: State Sponsor of Judeophobia
by Pamela Geller

Pamela GellerLast week, a line was crossed. A terrible line was crossed at Annapolis. With the world looking on, the President of the United States sponsored Judeophobia. Jew-hatred was okay, understandable even.

Under the auspices of a global “peace” conference, the White House sanctioned Jew-hatred. The Jew is contemptible, inferior, ignorant, politically and socially disenfranchised: separate entrance ways, service entrances for the Jews, refusal to touch or shake hands with a Jew, refusal of audience members to wear the translation earphones when Ehud Olmert spoke.

[…]

Submitting to Saudi demands, the Americans prohibited Israeli representatives from entering the hall through the same door as the Arabs. Vile — all of it; sanctioned and institutionalized by the President of the United States. I thought George Bush was a Christian, a man of faith. Shocking. He has squandered his second term and has not acted in good faith. We did not elect him to carry Condi’s water.

And her conclusion:
- - - - - - - - -
A line in the sand was crossed last week. And anyone who claims that Annapolis was a big yawn and that nothing would come of it is living in the land of unicorns and moonbeams. The Jew as dhimmi was made official and the world was there to bear witness. Moreover, Israel laid down. Sheba Farms, Golan, Jerusalem — all were thrown on the table like so many marbles.

Bat Ye’or was dead right in her reply when I asked her what had become of the people of Israel: “Israel is unworthy of her ancestors.”

Is there any precedent to requests of the Israeli delegates such as these? (i.e. no handshakes...different doors etc.) I don't think this is the 1st time things like this have happened. Until Sadat shook hands with the Israelis in 1979, I don't think there "ever" had been a handshake...and Sadat got killed 2 years later for his effort.

I hope this is tongue-in-cheek, Baron.

Well, from time to time I must admit some actions by the Bush Administration annoy me. I guess Annapolis, or rather the way the Jews were treated there, is one of them.

But by and large I still think US policy in the ME is heading in the right direction.

OT, I think that Mrs. Geller is looking awfully HOT on that photo!

And Baron, I just checked LGF and it looks like Mr. Johnson has completely lost the pedals. Ignore him. Thanks a LOT for your defense of the VB and SD, but you do not need to say any more than you already have. Johnson is not worth it. I don't know what has come over him. He's acting in a, well, hysterical, obsessive way.

Ignore his latest smear please. Let us indeed "Move On". He's making a fool of himself.

I think you have to go back to the treatement of the German delegates at the Versailles treaty for something similar.

You Go Pam! Good work! I'm sorry, but Condi and Bush are total and absolute spineless garbage to let this happen. The only bright spot I guess, is that with DemocRATS in power they would be even worse DhimmiRATS.

They could have used the occasion to start to force a dialog on why the Islamists hold such a hateful view of Jews. "Come on now, don't be a bad monkey, be a big boy, shake the nice little Jew's hand now."

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
NO Palestinian state

then terrorist attacks
would be an act of war

George Bush and the Bush family has long had personal ties to the Saudi royal family. And this is what lame duck presidents do, try to make history. The Israelis are Westerners, so they will compromise, but the Arabs will never compromise because an Arab will never admit that they are wrong.

I'm the one who advised Ms. Geller, back when she had just a small photo taken in Rome, that her looks might be an asset on her blog. The Super Gilr picture, that I didn't expect.

She does good work, and she is passionate about her work.

I don't think GWB is actually any kind of puppet of the Saudis, at least not directly. But he has been increasingly relying on James Baker and his friends, like Gates, and Baker is an Arabist. Grover Nordquist almost certainly converted to Islam to marry his Muslimah wife, so he also has a Republican party advisor who may have gone native.

Good on her. Israel National News, also known as Arutz Sheva (Channel 7), is the chief outlet of the Religious Zionists (the group in Israel I belong to). It doesn't yet have as much clout as the Big Two--Yediot Achronot and Maariv--but it's gaining ground, increasing in importance in lockstep with the takeover of Zionism by the religious (now that the original secular Zionism has succumbed to the blight of post-Zionism, or IOW self-doubt to the point of self-flagellation).

Oh, and hello all of you! I pop up on the internets from time to time. Sad to see Charles decided to keep his plane on the nosedive...

God bless.
