I began my investigations of Jamaat ul-Fuqra (a.k.a. “Muslims of America”) seven years ago today when I took a day trip down to Red House, Virginia. That little excursion changed my view of the beloved Virginia countryside forever — if Islamic terrorists can set up shop in Red House or Meherrin, then they can be anywhere — there is no escaping them.
At Dymphna’s insistence — and to avoid the expense of a bullet-proof vest — I gave up direct investigation of JuF a year or so later. Fortunately, by then Marty Mawyer, the founder and president of Christian Action Network, had begun his own investigations of Muslims of America. Over the past six years he has done extensive work on the subject, visiting and flying over a number of Jamaat ul-Fuqra’s rural compounds all across the country, but especially up and down the East Coast, and produced two important videos about JuF. It has been my privilege to consult with Marty and other CAN members on a number of occasions.
Now Marty has written a book about the threat of indigenous domestic Islamic terrorism in the United States. It’s called Twilight in America: The Untold Story of Islamic Terrorist Training Camps Inside America, and draws on his years of investigation into Jamaat ul-Fuqra, including his interviews with a police infiltrator who spent eight years inside the organization.
Marty appeared on Fox and Friends the other morning to talk about his book and his years of patient work on Jamaat ul-Fuqra:
Below is a list of some of our earlier posts on Jamaat ul-Fuqra. As you can see, several of them are based on the courageous work done by Marty and his fellow investigators at CAN:

This story smacks of CIA propaganda designed to: 1. get you people scared yet again, 2. get the drones flying over America in full force, 3. increase the security/surveillance/police state. They are preying on anti-muslim sentiments among americans to justify increasing the pressure of the police state. Do not believe this! Many religious leaders trumpeting this big brother state are getting paid by the feds as well. That is what the "faith based" government programs designed by Bush are for. They are still being used by Obama.
Is this legal ? If it is, why isn't there a move to legislate against this ? And if it's not, how can these camps be left to operate for decades ?
That's beyond me. I mean, you can't buy liquor if you are underage, but military training to wage war against America can go on unhindered ?
Anonymous says "do not believe this". I invite him to drive to the Jamaa't al Fukra site for himself.
How many times can we hear the mantra "nothing to see here, go back to sleep" and not do anything about it?
