Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/13/2012

Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/13/2012An actress who appeared in the now-infamous movie The Innocence of Muslims says she is sickened by what happened, and that the script of the movie she acted in had no references to Islam. She insists the name of Mohammed was dubbed in afterwards.

Meanwhile, a U.S. government official has leaked the real name of the man who is allegedly responsible for the movie — who is not Sam Bacile and not Jewish, but an Egyptian-American Copt.

A number of analysts now believe that the current riots were not prompted by the Mohammed movie, but were in fact scripted well in advance, with the movie simply providing a convenient pretext.

In other news, the VVD, Prime Minister Rutte’s party, won the Dutch elections, with Labour coming a close second. Geert Wilders’ party, the PVV, did very poorly, and lost a number of parliamentary seats.
