England’s New Totalitarian Police Force
by Paul Weston
Freedom of Assembly and Freedom of Speech died in Walthamstow on September 1st 2012. This was the date that Britain officially became a Police State.
After weeks of negotiation between the English Defence League and police liaison officers our democratic right to hold a peaceful outdoor meeting was trampled on by Britain’s ruling totalitarian class.
Whether this was due to police incompetence or politicised senior policemen taking their orders from David Cameron’s government is unclear, but the end result was the same — democracy died.
The EDL meeting had been arranged well in advance. Tommy Robinson, Kevin Carroll and Paul Weston were scheduled to speak. Hundreds of supporters from all around the country had made the sacrifice of time and money to travel to London to hear them.
But the British police had other ideas. An advance team from the EDL arrived early in the day and set up the speaking platform, generators and PA system. The three speakers also arrived early with a small security team of six men.
The total number at the speaking area was between twelve men and three women. The police then allowed a growing number of Muslims and UAF to assemble at a distance of only twenty feet from us.
As their numbers grew, so did their violence. When there were about 200-300 of them the violence began in earnest. Bottles, bricks, sticks and coins started coming down on us. The faces of the so-called Religion of Peace and their leftist Useful Idiots were contorted in hate and blood lust.
Then they charged the police lines. Our small contingent backed up against the railings and waited for the inevitable. No matter how well trained the security team was, there was little to be done against hundreds.
But the police line held, just. After the first attempt to lynch us had been temporarily held back, Kev Carroll asked the senior police officer present why this was violence was allowed; why nobody had been arrested and why all the cameras present were trained on us under a barrage of bottles and bricks rather than on the people actually throwing them.
The officer replied it was “unsafe” to arrest anybody in such a hostile environment! But the hostile environment was entirely of their own making in allowing such numbers of clearly violent people to get so close to us.
Meanwhile, the main EDL contingent, numbering between 400-500, had been kettled in a side street about 1,000 feet from us.
As the Islamic/leftist alliance tried to break through the police line again, we were told the situation had become uncontrollable and the meeting was cancelled. We were then escorted away from the stage and down to the main EDL contingent.
At this point the police officer in overall control informed the EDL ranks that the meeting was off, that they would be escorted back to the tube station or face immediate arrest. Rather than turning on the police this is exactly what the peaceful EDL boys did.
The three speakers plus the security team were escorted out of Walthamstow in the two vehicles they had arrived in, but not before the UAF photographed the number plates. The police refused to confiscate the film, despite knowing the security implications of addresses linked to the owners names.
The main EDL contingent were then kettled for several hours without water or toilets, including one pregnant woman who was clearly in physical distress but who was told in no uncertain terms that she was not going anywhere to throw up.
After several hours EVERYONE was then searched for “offensive weapons” and had their personal details noted by the police. Many were arrested and taken to various parts of London where they were then “de-arrested” and told to make their own way home.
This did not happen in Nazi Germany or Communist Russia. It happened here, in London, in England.
Our democratic right to Freedom of Assembly and Freedom of speech were removed from us.
The police allowed a small group of us to be attacked with potentially deadly bricks and bottles for over an hour.
The police didn’t arrest a single person carrying out these acts of violence.
The police kettled a peaceful group of EDL supporters for hours and withheld water and toilet facilities.
The police arrested many of them on false grounds and then “de-arrested” them after taking them to various parts of London.
Why was this done?
It seems pretty clear to me. Whilst Muslims and leftists can behave with criminal impunity, the EDL has come under serious attack from the State via the police. They will close us down by any means possible, no matter that in doing so they breach our democratic rights, Human Rights, and even more to the point acted ILLEGALLY. False imprisonment and a blatant disregard for upholding law and order in a politically biased manner are matters of great concern.
England has become a very unpleasant place. It is now a Police State. If you disagree with the prevailing opinion you can be attacked by those who disagree with you, and the only person arrested will be you.
This is an appalling situation. The London Metropolitan Police behaved not just in a shameful manner — they behaved in a real, totalitarian Police State manner. These are dangerous times. If peaceful protest against a serious and growing threat is removed from the people, then the people will eventually protest violently.
And if we do, we will be imprisoned. Which I think is the deliberate intention. David Cameron and his police enforcers have now officially declared war against their own people.
There will be many who read this who will say “so what, we disagree with you so we don’t care.” Well, you should care. When the State becomes totalitarian it does not stop there. Everybody suffers eventually.
If you believe in democracy and freedom you should start to demand answers as to why the police were allowed to behave in this fashion and EXACTLY WHO gave them the orders to do so.
Two final points.
First, the EDL leadership spent all night on their mobile phones trying to sort out transport.
Second, the EDL rallying cry is “No Surrender” and the whole point of the police behaviour in Walthamstow was to force you to surrender via intimidation and inconvenience.
Our future is threatened in a truly terrible way. Don’t let intimidation and inconvenience force you into defeat. Our immediate ancestors died for this country. We are entering the early stages of another confrontation and you must not allow our treacherous elites to intimidate you.
No Surrender really means No Surrender. They are not just words. We are not going away. We are not going to give in. We are not going to be defeated. WE ARE NOT GOING TO SURRENDER.

good on you for helping to spread the truth about what is happening here in the UK to those who object to the infestation of islam and socialism. Unfortunately, if my friends are typical, most people don't want to know. Is that what it was like in 1930s Germany? The Met seems to have an unhealthy attitude towards peaceful indigenous protesters, why I wonder is that; is this a consequence of the Stephen Lawrence case and the subsequent McPherson report? Whatever the root cause, the muslims and their idiot socialist running dogs are on a winning streak.
As leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, in the summer of 1920 Hitler organised the Ordnertruppe, gangs whose job it was to keep order at NSDAP meetings. By October 1921, this force had evolved into the Sturmabteilung, also known as the SA, or Brownshirts. They soon began not only to keep order at NSDAP events, but to break up any meetings of Hitler's opponents. (Shirer, Kindle loc. 1112)
It's worth noting here that Adolf Hitler considered it absolutely necessary, when running a political party, to inflict "spiritual terror" upon one's opponents. He wrote in Mein Kampf that, after making a precise calculation of all human weaknesses, he believed that a veritable barrage of lies and slander must be unleashed against one's opponents, and in Nazi Germany that would include anyone at all who questioned the Hitler-as-saviour myth, until the nerves of the attacked persons wear down. Hitler stated that this tactic will lead to political success with almost mathematical certainty. (Shirer, Kindle loc. 620)
What members of the UAF fail to realise is that just as Hitler turned on Ernst Rohm, and many others who had played important parts in his rise to power, during the night of the long knives. And one fine day, they too could find themselves expendable.
If that day comes, I hope they remember Paul's words.
One more thing; john in cheshire wondered if people didn't want to know in 1930s Germany.
In Laurence Rees' documentary/book, "The Nazis: A Warning from History" he argued that there was no all-powerful Gestapo force, but rather that everyday people turned informant, and denounced their neighbours and fellow citizens left, right and centre.
So we can expect uneducated fools who don't know the value of freedom of speech (because such philosophical arguments are never taught in British schools) jumping on the bandwagon to denounce anyone who dares to deviate from the party line.
Mark my words.
We're already seeing this in the workplace - look at Chris Knowles, who's been "investigated" and suspended after someone in the local council decided that what he believed was just not cricket, don't you know?
That sort of thing's only going to get worse until some serious changes are made.
One of the things that can be done is to elect Kev Carroll as Police Commissioner for Bedfordshire - if we get someone in a position to affect police policy, that could start to make a difference.
Nothing to do with Germany. The NS protected their own people (we may argue about the methods, indeed). Only our democracies could turn it upside down.
the cops are only doing what they are told; help facilitate the destruction of the English identity in line with the UN's one world government project.
the cops are traitors of the first order and no longer relevant to the ordinary working citizen.
Can you imagine the racket in the press and on the Beeb if 15 Muslims had gathered for any reason whatsoever and hundreds of white, non-Muslims people had started throwing bottles and stones at them?
We are now living in a country where ideology trumps reality.
Anyone remember the Soviet Union? It really happened you know. Some of us are old enough to remember it.
Oh that's right ... the people running this show do remember how the Soviets ran their evil empire, all too well ...
Democracy in the UK died long ago. Not exactly sure when, but it has been a gradual process. When the 3 main parties all decided mass immigration, subserviance to the EUSSR, and big state were their goals democracy died.

They've been taking pointers from egyptian police -- stand aside and let the muslim mob pillage. That'll teach those dhimmi copts to speak out. Same tactic. Unleash the mob, deny accountability, punish the victims for defending themselves.
The British civil service, including the police, has long been totally incompetent, unaccountable, and interested only in their own privileges and advancement.
Even during World War II, Britain's "finest hour", the civil service wouldn't even keep a dining hall open past quitting time for returning bomber pilots. You can read about it in Chuck Yeager's autobiography.
The British have been running on blind luck since they became socialist, and with the collision of insane immigration policies and the normal torpor, apathy, and outright negligence by the British bureaucracy. Their luck is running out.
As detailed in the article, Britain is likely to enter a soft fascism, where the primary goal of any government decision is simply to keep the lid on, and the groups most willing to be violent will be the most successful.
Not a crime to fight burglars
says UK Minister
For a long time, Britain has had as part of its self-image the idea that "we won the war". But watch the interview with Stephen Ambrose at the end of the DVD set: The World At War. Britain didn't come out of the war as a "winner" - not really.
Ok Winston Churchill became a national hero figure. And he certainly realised that war was coming in the 30s, and spoke out about that time and again (read The Gathering Storm) and he held Britain together during the difficult years prior to America joining the war.
But in his obsession to defeat Hitler Churchill gave away Britain's wealth. That is to say the Americans demanded it in return for their assistance, and the Brits gave it to them.
The winners of WWII, as Ambrose suggests, were the Soviets and America. Not Britain - she was a spent force afterwards, and still is.
The assessment provided earlier is accurate: employees of the British state are as a rule, useless clock-watchers who are only interested in riding the gravy train they've managed to hop aboard. And that is all.
People are not taught to think properly, they are not taught about their own history, about the philosophical principles underlying civilised society - they're taught the bare minimum and then forced to toe the ideological line. A form of Nazi-ism is already here in the UK, and it has been for some time.
Just like the Nazis, the first people they turned on were fellow citizens who disagreed with them. Now the political elite who are riding first class on the tax-funded gravy train are adopting the same principles as the Nazis.
They say that if you don't learn from history, you'll make the same mistakes - our problem is that these people don't see Nazi or Soviet political philosophies as mistakes. But they have learnt from them ..
I believe it may still be a little too early to put this incident down to 'orders from above'. It should rather should be put down to the incompetence, or cost cutting measures now in place by the police hierarchy, in not allowing enough officers to be rostered on for this days activities.
From watching the video it is obvious to me that not enough police were on hand to deal with the large UAF/Leftist crowd that had assembled. And as one copper called out, there were concerns for their own safety as well as that of the EDL members.
In my opinion, the cops had to nip any escalation of the violence in the bud so chose to remove the law abiding EDL, because quite simply, they knew they would give no trouble. On the other hand all the violence was being held back by a very thin line of police who could not contain the mob indefinitely and it was obvously recognized by the police at the scene that time was of the essence if they were to avoid a riot.
Yes, it is a disgraceful episode anytime when police give in to mob violence, but in this case lack of police numbers contributed to not being able to keep the peace. If I was Kevin Carroll, I would be wanting answers from the local police chief as to why there was inadequate numbers of police present on the day. I would then formally complain that his right to demonstrate had been denied because police were inadequately prepared for the day.
But why would there need to be large numbers of police present, after all Islam is a religion of peace, isn't it?
And we don't need to worry about "extremists" any more, do we?
And any group calling itself unite against facism must by definition be for democracy and free speech, mustn't it?
As for arresting then "de-arresting" people - surely that is not legal?
And if it is not then the individual police officers who handcuffed innocent people must be named in a series of formal complaints.
Paul: My heart bleeds for England, and my heart bleeds for Western civilization. I am so sorry....
You are the canary in the coal mine - coughing - coughing - coughing.

"In my opinion, the cops had to nip any escalation of the violence in the bud so chose to remove the law abiding EDL, because quite simply, they knew they would give no trouble."
To the anonymous who posted this:
That is a plausible explanation, except for one thing: why were the security cameras turned on the EDL protesters and not on the violent, rock and bottle-throwing mob? If the police were interested in justice, but simply shorthanded, the proper action would be to video the rock throwers, and arrest them individually later.
Instead, the police video'd the EDL.
It is impossible to escape the conclusion, from this fact alone, that the police had a partisan interest in not providing true justice in this matter.
Diversity requires a larger and more well armed police force...as a matter of course.
In fact once you reach a certain level of diversity, one requires a police state...see Yugoslavia.
Israeli road blocks, and security fences are the future of Europe. Fodder for a million Leftwing books like Jimmy Carter's Peace Not Apartheid, which argue that dhimmitude is morally superior to self defense.

Not Britain - she was a spent force afterwards, and still is. -- quote from above commenter
This isnt really true.
The Brits chose to devolve their Empire instead of cracking the whip. The Brits chose to wind down their military and instead provide National Health Service and a lavish Welfare State.
While WW2 certainly took it's toll, the real disaster for the UK was the election of the Attlee government post WW2.
Granted this afflicts all of the West and is not isolated to the UK, the general turn towards Leftist ideology and worldviews. But it afflicted some worse than others. Which is why American conservatives are so universally demonized and sneered at in Europe. Whilst not perfect, that Conservative Christian Right in the US is what a healthy European Christendom looks like. Not a self hating apologetic unconfident band of sad sacks, who question their very right to exist, mired in moral and cultural relativism and agnostic nihilism.

Yep.
And as I pointed out to some unreceptive Leftwingers recently, law and order is already breaking down all across Europe....in Muslim No Go Shariah Zones.
Balkanization of much of Europe, will lead to predictable outcomes.

I assume that a complaint will be made by each individual to the police. I suggest that each person goes to the area commander. A lawful and agreed meeting was entitled to take place. A barrier should have been put up further away to keep antagonists away. Also allowing people close enough to take down personal details was unacceptable.
Unfortunately, I would agree that arresting any of the Muslims at that time was dangerous but later arrests can and should be made.
Our British police force...like the education and health services....are there to enforce the Elite's PC ideology....not primarily to protect, educate or heal the British public.
Why arrest anyone? Simply identify the violent Muslim foreigners, stop all welfare payments to them, revoke all of their paperwork, and deport them and their entire extended families forthwith without provision for appeal or re-entry. Quick, easy and effective.
There are solutions to be found if one wants solutions. Conduct this process a few times, and Muslims will abandon their violence.

The principles enshrined by the father of our modern police force, Sir Robert Peel , are to be found in the General Instructions given to the first Metropolitan Police officers in 1829.
Number five of nine states that it is the duty of officers "to seek and preserve public favour, not by pandering to public opinion; but by constantly demonstrating absolutely impartial service to law, in complete independence of policy, and without regard to the justice or injustice of the substance of individual laws, by ready offering of individual service and friendship to all members of the public without regard to their wealth or social standing".

RonaldB...you raise the question of why security cameras were pointed at the EDL and not at the mob causing the trouble which you use to discount my opinion.
Only the person or persons responsible for the security cameras could answer that question, and I write this not to discount your question, but to raise the fact that the cops on the ground were probably not even aware of where the cameras were pointed and had nothing to do with organizing the predicament they found themselves in.
I love this guy-Paul Weston for PM!
I also agree with him that us anti-Islamists need to take power and then deal with the Islamists and their fascist leftist supporters as they should be.
I'm an East Indian atheist and support the EDL along with the Mr Weston and his party.
Nemesis you are joking right? The Police OF COURSE were commanded to film the EDL for information and
identity purposes, not to film the
UAF criminals and islamic retards.
The Government as does Soetoro/Obama's in the US, see White people as more threatening to their master plans, than a much smaller group of howlers.
