News Briefs from Sweden

Our Swedish correspondent PMP sends these translated news summaries from the Silly Season in Sweden:

Swedish Finance Minister wants to invest in the country’s Muslims

(Dagen News, 9 July) During a recent political mass-event in Swedish Malmödalen, pro-Muslim sentiments were echoed amongst the country’s ruling party, the Moderate Party.

In a live debate on Swedish television, the country’s finance minister of the ‘conservatives’, Anders Borg, gave a speech which showed evidence of this. In his speech on integration he stated that, ‘I believe the wisest thing is for the state to combine everything with every god out there’.

He elaborated that this was not referring to Christian groupings, but others.

‘I believe we should give them more money, simply. Because if we do not help the Muslim groups with building projects and educational programmes for Imams, then the Wahhabists, Saudis and other extreme groups will do this’.

He furthermore expressed concerns that large immigrant groups from Somalia and Iraq would otherwise not feel as if they were participants in modern Sweden.

18 years for honour-killing

(The Gothenburg Post, 13 July) On the 5th of March, 20-year old Mustafa Hasnawi, an Iraqi Kurd, was murdered in Gothenburg, Sweden.

According to the police, the murder was very brutal, with 25 stab wounds. Almost immediately after the murder, seven individuals were arrested for further investigation.

It seems that Mustafa had had a relationship with a 16-year-old girl from Turkey, but apparently from the ‘wrong family’. The persons arrested were individuals from the two families. The father of the young girl was sentenced to life, which in Sweden means a sentence of 18 years.

Iranian student in Sweden cut off the lips of his wife in honour crime

(Aftonbladet, June) Hodjattallah Rabbani, a PhD student at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, was recently sentenced to a five-year prison term. Apparently the student, from Iran, cut off the lips of his wife.

The reason, he explained, was that he suspected his wife of having cheated on him after coming home from a trip to Holland. In order to prevent her from kissing anyone else, he used a sharp knife and cut off her lips.

He also mentioned that his wife had ruined his chances of getting the Nobel Prize.

The woman had additional cuts and knife wounds, but managed to flee their house and cry for help.

The sentence was handed down a few days ago — five years in prison. To this, the assailant coldly noted: “I will get a few years in prison, but her face will be ruined for the rest of her life”. He was right.

‘I believe the wisest thing is for the state to combine everything with every god out there’.

Will this god-mixture result in a soup-based dish or something more stratified, like a hot fudge sundae? Or does the minister think of the gods as sprinkles to be spread over Swedish society?

The father of the young girl was sentenced to life, which in Sweden means a sentence of 18 years.

They're obviously planning for the drop in life expectancy that will accompany Sweden's third-worldification. In a few decades, 18 years will be a staggered sentence.

Apparently the student, from Iran, cut off the lips of his wife.

If only he had not been marginalized by society, this PhD student! A new Volvo and a large mansion and a plump pension--if only he had been given that, he would never have resorted to this unfortunate orisectomy!

I don't think the problem will be that immigrant groups will "not feel as if they were participants in modern Sweden" whether Mr Borg gives his citizens money away or not. Soon, the problem will be that Swedes themselves will no longer feel they are participants in the mordern Sweden.

Throwing money at Muslims only empowers them to push Islam more quickly and effectively. Funding the Islamification of your country.
