Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/19/2011

Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/19/2011Syria lifted its half-century old state of emergency as a gesture of reform, but the anti-regime demonstrators were not appeased. Police fired into a crowd of five thousand protesters in Homs, the country’s third-largest city. Two people were reported killed, an unknown number injured.

In other news, the English Defence League has vowed to encircle next week’s royal wedding with a “ring of steel” to prevent Islamic zealots from getting anywhere near Westminster Abbey and disrupting the event.

Meanwhile, a man in Italy who is legally blind and living on disability benefits was caught driving a car. He was stopped at a police checkpoint and signed for a fine for not having his license with him, not realizing that the police had improved their database capabilities and would catch him out.

Regarding the blind man driving story: at least he was arrested. A few years ago, I saw a blind woman pay with food stamps in a supermarket, and she made a big production out of asking the clerk for help. Outside, I saw her get into a car and drive off. I wrote the licence plate number and reported it to the police. The policeman who interviewed me was frankly hostile, especially since I described her as being African, and asked me why I was reporting it.

The edl should leave the wealthy foreign parasites,to the mercy of the retarded islamic parasites, then the English people will have every right to destroy islam in its entirety and remove it from our shores forever.Defending the family of the head of the nwo is nothing bshort of ludicrous.

And you call yourself an Englishman! This Catholic Australian has more loyalty to the crown than you, and frankly, they do far less for us than they do for you.

And if the Windsors are foreigners, then I'm a foreigner too. My ancestors first arrived here in 1820. The Windsors/Saxe-Coburgs/Saxe-Coburg-Gothes have been on the throne since 1720.

So don't insult me, and don't be such a dill to your future King.

God save the Queen and her heirs and successors!

end quote.

Those claiming legal blindness should be assessed carefully.
A legally blind person can function in certain situations as well as any sighted person.
But driving automobiles, riding bicycles, going routinely to places they don't know instead of keeping a specific spatial routine, and making consistent and perfect eye contact should tip someone off that something's up.
There's a passivity and underconfidence imposed by this disability that pervades the individual and what he does.
If you don't see that, then there's a problem.

Shoot... we elect morally and ethically blind people to run our Nations... so what's the big deal with someone driving with a mere visual impairment?
