Camp of the Saints: A Hiatus

Lampedusa: boatload of refugees #7

Thanks to my real job — i.e. one that pays actual money, albeit only temporary — I was unable to compile my daily report on the refugee crisis in the Mediterranean. I have all the material at hand, and will attempt to put it together sometime tomorrow.

However, I’ve acquired yet another photo of a boatload of culture enrichers sitting in the harbor at Lampedusa. Believe me, there are plenty to choose from.

If any of those pictures contain women or girls - I would interested in seeing them.

I always thought refugees came in families - these look more like soldiers invading (see pics of Nomandy & Dunkirk ca. 1944)

When I look at your boat pics of non-swimmers half-sunk in the blue, I get queasy. Add Islamo-nausea, and that's double whammy. May be needing a barf bag if these keep up.

How many of these enrichers will feature in forthcoming editions of the International Cultural Enrichment News??
