The King of Sweden Visits Malmö

Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus, King of Sweden and Duke of Jämtland, descended on Malmö the other day to cut the ribbon at a school-opening ceremony.

Vlad Tepes has the rest of the story:

Many thanks to Steen for the translation.

Why Europeans - who generally scorn backward America- wish to emulate America's most potentially chaotic an dangerous enterprise... encouraging multi-ethnicity in their country... is baffling to me.

There is no need for it in Europe, since they have already long-settled their lands and developed their nations into advanced industrial states.

Why they want to introduce a random element of resentful aliens into their stable societies is a mystery I cannot fathom.

Is it a collective death wish?

Or the result of diseased, self-loathing educational institutions teaching only the evils of their own "racist colonial pasts"... which must be paid for by their own extermination at the hands of imported "poor, downtrodden unfortunates"?

Whatever the method to this pervasive madness, the EU-nuchs aren't going to like the bloody results.

And why would anyone want to then visit Europe if it only looks like Detroit or Camden, N.J. or South Central L.A. anyway?

Defend your homegrown cultures, Europe!

They are your charm, and your only chance for survival.

Profitsbeard, perhaps what is worst about this is that King Gustav is the embodiment of the Swedish nation. And yet, here I see that no one even bows or curtseys before him.

As Europe has torn down its monarchies and its formalities, it has torn down its own unique cultures. King Gustav has been reduced to a figurehead, with even less power than Elizabeth II (my own Queen), and many other monarchs are in similar positions (only the Vatican and the micro-nations of Monaco and Luxembourg have retained monarchical power, and as it stands, they remain pretty European in their cultures and ways).

Alas, such times we live in. A Jacobite's loyalty is still a sorrowing one, it seems.

King Carl Gustav can't complain about this. His mistress for many years was the half-Nigerian singer (and nude model) Camilla Henemark. He led by example.

Ah, well... kings will be kings..

The important issue is, that as long as the monarchy in Sweden stands, the head of state cannot be a muslim. And thus, Sweden, according to sharia, cannot be a muslim state.

Which probably is the root and cause of the heat they have been taking recently. After all, the affair you referred to, happened some 30 years ago. And most Swedes have been well aware for decades about the kings appetite for, ehh, a good time? So why make a fuss now?

The affair was not 30 years ago, it was in the late 1990's (and it was apparently not for "many years", I was mistaken about that). My point is that Swedes cannot look to the King for any sort of defense of ethnic Swedishness, as they might have have had a right to expect.

What one does in the bed chamber, and what one, when need arises, does in the line of office, is not necessarily the same thing.

And to be fair, why ask of our king what we do not do ourselves?

Again, what´s important is the monarchy, not the king. In fact, any action from his side to "preserve swedishness" in todays political climate would do exactly the opposite. It would bring the monarchy down.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
