US envoy Michael Oren warns that Hezbollah has now deployed 15,000 rockets on the border between Lebanon and Israel. This is four times as many as were used in the 2006 war, and these have longer ranges and are armed with bigger payloads. Hezbollah has stationed many of them beneath schools, hospitals, and residences to take maximum propaganda advantage of any Israeli attempt to take out the launchers.
In other news, a Texas entrepreneur has invented deep-fried beer. Meanwhile, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair says that radical Islam poses the greatest danger to the world.

What basic level of inhumanity does it take for our world to avoid recognizing the vicious brutality inherent in such a feckless disregard for human life?
It is as if there has been made the conscious decision to give a pass on any strategy just so long as Jews are on the receiving end. Targeting bus loads of school children, talk of genocide, all of it is ignored. But woe the day some poor Muslim gets a paper cut while reading his bomb-maker's instruction manual. Then the world is in an uproar.
Again, it is as if moral inversion has become a virtue.
Life was relatively cheap in the Middle Ages. Most of this ideology has not evolved from this.
I keep thinking that this war is going to blow up in everyone's faces. I expect a few more years, but you never know. It will most likely begin with an attack upon Israel, seeing as the entire country is 'occupied Muslim land'.

Western governments, military intelligence and journalists know full well that the launchers are tactically shielded in civilian areas this in the real world should make any Hezbollah propaganda in a future conflict concerning civilian casualties valueless. Common knowledge amongst the population of the tactic makes those civilians complicit combatants.

I agree. So long as resident populations do not begin stringing up Hezbollah units who seek to place these missile installations in their midst, then they must accept the penalty that comes with allowing their desire for genocide against Israel to outweigh any survival instinct.
This is all part of [gasp!] collective punishment, a notion that most of the West is simply incapable of wrapping its mind around.
Islamic terrorism and dhimmitude are quintessential examples of collective punishment. What then is so abhorrent about providing Muslims with a direct object lesson regarding the inappropriateness of maintaining this posture as part of their cultural foundations?
Islam simply revels in doling out collective punishment. Payback is long overdue.

Now that the US Government has acknowledged that the missiles are deliberately deployed in civilian areas there can be no feigned outcry or Hezbollah propaganda gift concerning civilian casualties in neutralising the threat.
The onus is now on Hezbollah to remove the missiles from civilian areas and for civilians to distance themselves from military hardware or be classified as combatants.
