In the clip, she is evidently annoyed that San Franciscans are asking her about zoning problems (can you say “Ground Zero Mosque”?) in New York City. I don’t think she answered the callers’ questions. Instead, she
Yep. That’s true. We concert as much as possible on this issue. Or at least most of us do. But never mind the devout Imam Rauf. Miz Pelosi wants to investigate the funding sources of those who are in opposition to the GZM.
BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!
The opposition is all of us out here, about seventy per cent of Americans now, demanding that they go somewhere else…

Not only is it the VastRightWingConspiracy, but it’s also independent voters, conservatives, and people who feel strongly about what gets built in, around or near “hallowed ground”. The same reaction the Walt Disney Corporation felt when it tried to build a theme park near a major Civil War battlefield.
So are we all about to be investigated by the new IRS agents they have to hire to make sure the Obamacare health bill
Never mind the murky Muslim funding that Rauf can’t quite explain. Pelosi doesn’t care — that’s New York City’s problem. Instead, let’s
Politicians have a history of such operations. You can ask any number of the Clinton victims, those “white trash, vast right wing conspiracy idiots” who dared to question high-handed decisions like the wholesale slaughter of the Travelgate lambs. I wonder if those poor people are still paying their lawyers.
And let’s not forget the looong list of TOHB — Targets of Hillary and Bill. It doesn’t pay to look too deeply into those stories, though. You begin to question your own sanity. Just to be cautious let’s just leave out of our calculations the unexplained deaths on that page. And to avoid paranoia, we could randomly subtract, oh, say, seventy-five per cent of the other stories. We’re still left with an appalling number of proved, unethical attacks by the Clintons and their followers against those who dared to cross them.
From 2002, this report:
An official with the Internal Revenue Service has admitted that legal opponents of former President Bill Clinton were singled out for tax audits, according to court documents made public this week.
“What do you expect when you sue the president?” senior IRS official Paul Breslan told Judicial Watch, the Washington-based legal watchdog group that had filed 50-plus legal actions against the Clinton administration and subsequently found itself in the IRS’s cross hairs.
Breslan’s quote is cited in Judicial Watch’s complaint against the tax agency, based on a host of what look to be politically-inspired audits that make the worst abuses of the Nixon administration appear puny by comparison.
“There were literally six witnesses in the room when Breslan told us we should have expected an audit,” Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman revealed to NewsMax.com. “Four of them were lawyers.”
The legal group became the target of an IRS audit in 1998, just four days after it filed an independent impeachment report against Clinton, based on years of investigation into everything from Chinagate to the Paula Jones case.
But Judicial Watch wasn’t alone. Witnesses bearing damaging testimony against the president were a favorite target of the Clinton IRS. Those singled out for audits include:
Clinton paramours Gennifer Flowers and Liz Ward Gracen, sexual assault accusers Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick, and fired White House Travel Office Director Billy Dale.
[…]
As the Judicial Watch complaint notes, the Clinton IRS also went after organizations and even media companies it perceived as politically hostile, including:
The National Rifle Association, The Heritage Foundation, The National Review, The American Spectator, Freedom Alliance, National Center for Public Policy Research, American Policy Center, American Cause, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens for Honest Government, Progress and Freedom Foundation, Concerned Women for America and the San Diego Chapter of Christian Coalition.
Fox News Channel analyst Bill O’Reilly, a frequent critic of Bill and Hillary Clinton, has also pointed out how the IRS has repeatedly audited him.
I wish I could say it changed under Bush, but that doesn’t seem to be the case:
…[T]he IRS’s intimidation tactics continue into the Bush administration, which has failed to sack Clinton’s IRS Commissioner Charles Rosotti.
After Judicial Watch won the release of thousands of pages of documents from Vice President Dick Cheney’s Energy Task Force last month, a badge-wearing IRS agent showed up at the group’s offices.
That report was written in 2002. Whether or not such sleazy practices continued on into Bush’s remaining seven years is an open question. However, given the MSM screech level and the general tenor of Bush Derangement Syndrome throughout his years in office, I doubt such behavior would have gone unreported or unpunished. Had Bush used the bully-boy tactics which were standard operating procedure under the Clintons, they would have been used as more ammunition in the impeachment fairytales the Far-Out Left continued to tell one another during the course of Bush’s term.
But now we have Dirty Tricks Pelosi & Company hot on the trail of funding sources for the Sassy Seventy Per Cent. Just like the fantasy spittle at that Tea Party demonstration, we’ve got fantasy theories about the evil slush funds of the Ground Zero Mosque opponents.
Let’s see when the round-ups begin, hmm?

It is, perhaps, most telling that my own initial reaction to news of Speaker Pelosi's intention of investigating funding for opposition regarding the Ground Zero mosque was not incredulity or astonishment but only deep revulsion at such an egregious display of total moral inversion.
I agree, Zenster.
But I went thru the sewers of the Clinton stuff while I was writing that post...hadn't planned to, her tactics just brought to mind all the egregiously heavy-handed things the Clintons did.
The post would've been up sooner, but I got waylaid on one of the pages that had Hillary quotes as its subject. The woman is a marvel. No wonder Saul Alinksy wanted to hire her right out of college. She was prime pupil material, just like Obama would be later...
I do wonder if billy Dale ever got out from under all that mess they made for him just so they could give their friends the Travel Office. it was so unnecessary, all they had to do was ask him to vacate.
Pelosi is a grandma in comparison. Well, just about everyone is when compared to Hillary. Including Bill...
Pelosi is a seventy year-old tribute to excellent plastic surgery. Hillary should ask for references.
Meeeooow
"Secret slush funds" or "vast right-wing conspiracies" or the like are all prog-speak for the public catching on to the nasty things that the leftists are doing.
For nearly nine years, there has been a grass-roots effort to get St. Nicholas Orthodox Church rebuilt, which was completely destroyed when the South Tower fell on it. The parish still has an active congregation but no building; they have been meeting to worship in Brooklyn. The NY/NJ Port Authority, with the acquiescence of local politicians and bureaucrats, have put up one roadblock after another to stop the church from being rebuilt. Now, many of us Orthodox Christians, working pretty much independently by word of mouth among friends and parishoners, have finally succeeded in getting some news media attention to this matter.
If the tranzi-progressive/jihadist cabal wants to know where we are getting our funding, the answer is: we are paying for our own blogs, email, snail mail, phone calls, gasoline to go visit elected officials, and so forth.
I would like to ask everyone who supports the effort to rebuild this church should first read this article:
Rebuild St. Nicholas CHURCH at Ground Zero, not a mosque
...and then call, write, or better yet, GO AND VISIT the offices of their US Representative and US Senators. You will probably just get to talk to a staffer, but the staffer will pass this information along. It makes a BIG difference if you take the trouble to write a personal letter or show up in person.
Also, pass the information along to everybody else you know who might be interested. Put it on Facebook, repost it on your own blog, email it to your friends and relatives, whatever else you can think of. We need to get something done while the issue is still in the public eye.
Thanks!
My thoughts on this went to McCarthyism.
Now we have the assertion of Wilderism or Islamist McCarthyism.
Where with McCarthyism, it was tyrannical and fascist to delve into Leftwingers political and funding connections....in which they were knee deep in Communist Organizations and Soviet Front Groups. Now with Wilderism, its tyrannical and fascist to bring delve around in and point out peoples connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Terrorist Organizations, etc.
I'm opposed to the mosque, but I didn't get my check. Is there some kind of form I need to fill out?
Very interesting. We have the same thing over here. It's a well known-thing, in France, that the threat of a tax audit is routinely used by politicians against their adversaries. And having the tax inspectors going after you in France is definitely Not a Good Thing.
However, the media are remarkably silent about this. There is a combined attitude of "Of course they do it, and why shouldn't they ?", and "Let's not investigate that, it's not newsworthy".
The big difference is that, in America, at least one official openly admitted to the practice (and practically claimed it was legitimate).
I don't think it has ever happened in France.
