Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/16/2010

Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/16/2010The town of Jowhar in Somalia is controlled by the Al Qaeda terrorist group al-Shabab. School officials in the town have been told that they may no longer ring bells to summon students to classes, because the bells sound too much like those used by Christian churches. Any principal who disobeys the ruling will be brought before Islamic justice.

In other news, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab harassed and demoted an employee who discussed Intelligent Design with other employees. Meanwhile, the ash plume from the volcano in Iceland is approaching Northern Italy, where flights are expected to be grounded.
