France and Germany are yet again reported to have struck a deal to bail out Greece, this time with the help of the IMF. We’ve heard this several times before in the past two weeks, but each time Chancellor Angela Merkel has backed away from forcing the German taxpayer to save the Greeks from their debt crisis. Meanwhile, the government of Dubai has committed another $9.5 billion to prevent Dubai World from defaulting on its debt obligations.
In other news, according to the latest opinion poll, immigrants in the Netherlands think there are too many immigrants in the country. A larger percentage of Dutch Turks feel that way than do the native Dutch.
