That Bright Elusive Burning Koran

Here’s an another instance of an imaginary desecrated Koran, this one in (where else?) Pakistan. The incident had painful consequences, but no lethal ones so far.

According to AKI :

Tension grips town over Koran burning

Hyderabad, 17 July (AKI/DAWN) — Tension gripped a small town in Pakistan, after rumours that a Hindu child had burnt a copy of the Muslim holy book, the Koran.

The incident took place in a remote mountainous area between Hyderabad and Karachi.

Following the incident, people reportedly gathered in the town of Thano Ahmed Khan to pressure police to take action against the child.

Later it was revealed that the child, who works in a grocery store, had mistakenly given a buyer some goods wrapped in a page from a textbook which had a Koranic verse on it.

According to reports, the child was taken to a guesthouse, stripped and beaten up. Another report, denied by police, said that the boy was paraded naked in the area.

The boy’s father, Maharaj Jaman Das, who holds an important religious position in the community, offered an unconditional apology to the protesters and said his son did not know what was written on the paper.

Police tried to verify the incident but no one in Thano Ahmed Khan could produce the paper which contained the Koranic verse.

Police in Thano Bula Khan told the Pakistani daily, Dawn, that no charges had been laid as no one had given any evidence that an act of blasphemy had occurred.

This is like the Koran-down-the-toilet report, or any one of dozens of other incidents in which no real desecration has occurred.

But still the skinless ones whip themselves into a violent frenzy over the imaginary offense, and the infidels will have to pay the price.

Hat tip: insubria.

Where are the charges for the beating?

But, hey, the Muslims got their beating in so it's a happy ending ... for them.

randian: Where are the charges for the beating?

I'm sure some Muslims will bill the boy's father for any skinned knuckles gotten while thrashing his son.

As a dedicated bibliophile I am normally opposed to burning books of any sort. For the Qur'an, I'm willing to make an exception. There needs to be Qur'an burnings every Friday evening in towns all across America until Muslims purchase a clue and STFU.

One of the more interesting aspects of the Islamic Death Cult is their incredible hypersensitivity to the Koran. All you need is a rumor of a Koran being burned, stomped, ripped, etc., and without any attempt at an investigation or confirmation of the event, Muslims erupt into insane frenzies of brutality and acts of violence on any infidel unfortunate enough to be nearby.

This in my opinion a very effective form of intimidation. It forces infidels to not only watch every thing they say and do in a Muslim society, but also to offer quick and abject apologies even if they had nothing to do with it or had any idea it happened. It's part of making sure that infidels are kept subdued and aware of their inferior status.

And we keep welcoming practicioners of this evil religion into our countries.

I like your idea. Me, I wish one of those Muslim organizations would leave a Koran on my doorstep. I'd shred all the pages and mix them in with the cat litter for our cats' litter boxes and I'd glue the cover to a rubber doormat so people can step on it and wipe their feet before they enter our home. Finally a Koran being put to good use!

They'll send you a Qur'an for FREE! Me? I'm still waiting for Qur'an toilet paper.

Think of the free Korans as incriminating evidence. A friend of mine was given one after 9/11 to help understand Islam, the more she read the more she understood and hated.

Zenster, I know there's a few places willing to ship me a Qu'ran for free but the idea of giving my name and address to any Islamist group doesn't quite fill me with the warm and fuzzies. Know what I mean?

Momsteach, ain't that the truth? Pre 9/11 I didn't know much about Islam and thus thought they were a regular religion. Now that I know a lot more about Islam, the more I learn about it the more I understand, hate and fear it.
