Give Thy Thoughts No Tongue!

Dr. Sanity is at it again. The good doctor simply can’t help herself, and this time she is riffing off T.S. Eliot with “The Love Song of J. Alfred Kerry”. A sample:

No! he is not John Kennedy, nor was meant to be;
He’s an emptiness within a nothing it is true
Capable of playing out a scene or two,
Teresa’s prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool.

He will run … He will run
And if he does then where’s the fun?

Talk about “an attendant prince”... It brought to mind Polonius’ speech to Laertes in Hamlet:

Be thou familiar, but by no means vulgar…
Give every man thine ear, but few thy voice;
Take each man’s censure, but reserve thy judgment.

Dr. Sanity has heard the mermaids singing, each to each! Go thou and read the rest.
