Gates of Vienna News Feed 12/6/2012Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi called out the Republican Guard to quell the protests against his rule that have been raging for the last few days. Soldiers and tanks were deployed on the streets of Cairo, but rioters continued to shoot, fire lasers, and throw Molotov cocktails at the soldiers and the police.

In other news, the Taliban shot and killed an imam as he was leading prayers inside a mosque in New Karachi, Pakistan. When caught, one of the perpetrators said the victim was killed because he was an informer.

Why don't you guys add a Facebook like button, where it's possible for readers to see how many clicks there've been? With so few comments, and no such features, it's easy to get the impression that no one's reading.
