The First Siege of Vienna

This is a brief overview of the First Siege of Vienna, when the Ottoman emperor Suleiman the Magnificent was turned back from the gates by a combination of bad weather and the cunning of the Viennese defenders. The CBN producers interviewed Raymond Ibrahim to get his input on the historical significance of what happened in 1529.

Thank you-- CBN, Vlad Tepes, and Gates of Vienna! What an amazing piece of history, and what amazing courage those Viennese people showed. It is hard to imagine the level of courage required to do what they did. This is one of those moments in history where divine intervention seems to be a reasonable explanation. I take hope from that.

Of course the freak weather was the hand of God aiding his faithful Viennese people. I believe that He will do so again when Christian lands are attacked again.
