A government minister in Afghanistan escaped injury when his convoy hit a roadside bomb, but two policemen accompanying him were wounded. In another attack in Afghanistan, 14 people were injured in two separate bomb explosions. Also in Afghanistan, four Taliban mujahideen were killed when they attacked a police barracks disguised in burkas with weapons underneath. Two NATO soldiers and three Afghans were killed in attacks elsewhere in Afghanistan.
In other news, Coptic activists in Egypt have founded an organization called the Christian Brotherhood to protect the interests of Egypt’s Christian minority.
