Some European commentators say that Greece is almost out of the woods, and that the Eurozone debt crisis will soon be over. However, the Germans and the French have yet to persuade private lenders to join an agreement on a bailout package for Greece. The IMF warns that the EU debt crisis could deepen the global recession, meaning that the world economy depends on the solvency of Greece.
Meanwhile, Spain’s public debt has risen to its highest level in thirteen years.
In other news, French Foreign minister Alain Juppé says that no matter the wording of the UN resolution, the goal in Libya is to topple Col. Gheddafi from his perch in Tripoli.

The reason, according to research to be published in an upcoming issue of the journal Psychological Science, is that when the income gap is large, lower- and middle-income people feel less trusting of others and expect people to treat them less fairly.
