Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/10/2011

Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/10/2011A super-secret U.S. Navy stealth helicopter that crashed at Osama bin Laden’s compound last week is of great interest to the Chinese. Although the SEALs attempted to destroy the wreckage, parts of the helicopter remained, and were acquired by the Pakistani military. The United States requested that the wreckage be returned, but Pakistan is holding onto it for now, and says that China wants to take a look.

In other news, persistent rumors say that Syrian president Bashar al Assad’s wife Asma has fled with their children to the UK. If true, the news would indicate that her husband’s regime is on its last legs.
