Because Somebody Threatens Violence, It Doesn’t Mean They Get Their Way

This is Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore vigorously defending the right to free speech in Canada, and lambasting the craven dhimmis who caved in to the Iranian government. I love this guy’s attitude; I wish we had more like him here in the USA.

Many thanks to Vlad Tepes for YouTubing this video:

Maybe James Moore has some Danish blood…

Danish blood ... maybe he does, Baron, indeed maybe he does!

What a breath of hope and fresh air. No wishy-washy weasel words here - just an arrow-straight message: [abt 3:55] "Not interested, not interested in being lectured to by the regime of Mr Ahmadinejad about free speech, about tolerance, about what's appropriate discourse in our country"

Man, we need more politicians like this.

Here in Western Australia we have a Minister for "Heritage and Multicultural Affairs". He's a nice guy but boy, are his hands tied by that title ...

I just wish that we had some politicians in Britain who would speak out like this Canadian. But reading today's papers it seems unlikely. "Baroness" Warsi, who was appointed to the House of Lords for no other reason that I can find other than that she is a so-called "moderate" Muslim has attacked the British for being "bigoted" against Muslims, and not one of our politicians has dared to say anything to the contrary. Things are going from bad to worse, and if this isn't an attempt to stop free speech, I don't know what is!
Do you know if the film "Iranium" is likely to be shown in the UK or made available on he internet? I would very much like to see it.

The test of Canadian and Western resolve is far, far from over.

After all those lost years of the Trudeau/Mulroney/Chretien era, the Harper government actually has me feeling a little bit proud to be a Canadian.

What's the saying, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

I hope this event persuades more people to see the film.

April 1st is the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution. The perfect time for all news organizations to report on Ayatollah Khomeini making a complete turn-about as soon as he seized power. He praised freedom and democracy and liberty up until the moment he gained power and then, with the help of his inner circle, he gave Iran to Islam. He lied without sin or shame because his god tells him this is how you spread the message of islam. This was 32 years ago. On April fools day. Was that a coincidence?

Wow, I thought the CHRC had done for the Canucks years ago.

Seems this guy is way off message.

Would love to see someone with balls this big in England.
