Two Muslim men in Afghanistan have been charged with converting to Christianity, and face a possible death penalty if they are convicted. They were videotaped being baptized at a ceremony in a private home, and someone leaked the tape to the authorities. Converting from Islam to any other religion is against sharia, which was installed in the Afghan Constitution when it was written by the United States.
In other news, Sweden’s discrimination Ombudsman has ruled that banning a student from class for wearing a niqab violates her rights.

What a public-spirited and decent individual.
He or she ought to be humiliated.
Freedom of religion . . . that means the freedom to convert out of Islam, the freedom to affirm humanity instead of destroy it, the freedom to serve God instead of demanding perfection.
Islam is an anti-humanistic faith; intolerant, unprogressive, and downright evil in a Western ethical sense.

And now all they have are their Muslim immigrant clients.
Revolution Muslim, anyone?

But Sweden has become more and more individualistic. People are thinking more about what they want for themselves. Ideas about equality and solidarity are not so strong.”

Wow.
As if that's a bad thing.
It's called loss of authority-- liberal social thinking, solidarity and equality have no authority any more. Those ideas have proven to be tyrannical. And now things must change. Everywhere.
Some good news from the UK. The authorities have decided not to prosecute the Koran-burning girl due to the threat of EDL demonstrations:
"A 15-year-old schoolgirl, from the Black Country, who burnt an English language version of the Koran will not face criminal charges, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed.
The West Midlands Crown Prosecution Service said it had also decided to take no action against a 14-year-old boy who made threats about the girl on a social networking site.
In a statement, the CPS said there was sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction against each teenager, but prosecutions would not be in the public interest.
The girl, who has not been named but is known to attend a school in the Sandwell area, was arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred on November 19 after posting footage of the incident on Facebook.
The boy was detained four days later on suspicion of making threats on the social networking site.
In its statement, the CPS said: "The reviewing lawyer decided there was sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction in each case, but considered whether the public interest required a prosecution, or whether a final warning as an alternative to prosecution would be appropriate as both were of previous good character.
"After considering representations from the police and community groups that the case could be resolved appropriately between the parties without need for a prosecution, and that both teenagers had agreed to co-operate, it was felt it was not in the public interest to prosecute."
Speaking last week, Councillor Bob Badham, Sandwell Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said the authority had been working hard with the school, police, and the community to maintain harmony following the incident.
"All involved have reacted very positively," Mr Badham said.

The Quran is a book.
She burned it.
The girl is a human being.
She has been threatened.
The boy who threatened her faces no charges, not even an admonition from the authorities.
She may have burnt the Quran, but the Quran may be replaced.
He has threatened her life and limb.
There is no equivalency here.
Do you see how anti-humanistic this course of action is on the part of the government?
If the girl does face some informal retaliation (and I can guarantee some is coming) then where and what is the rule of law in England?
End of the case for this girl and the community and nation? Don't hold your breath.
