A reader from the UK just sent us this account of a culturally enriched sham marriage that was caught and exposed by the border police in Glasgow:
I don’t have a link but last night I watched a Sky “UK Border Agency” programme. No point going into all the featured cases, but there was one, in Glasgow, of a sham marriage.
The border agency had had a tip-off and were waiting. They arrested a very well-dressed Pakistani who was extremely vocal and clearly educated. His English was excellent. He displayed all the Muslim supremacy tendencies. He claimed they had no right to arrest him (why exactly, since he was an alien who had outstayed his visa? Oops, I forgot — he was a Muslim, so infidels have no rights) .
He demanded his lawyer there and then and even said that they could not even arrest him without the presence of his lawyer (his lawyer? He was here on a tourist visa); he demanded to speak to his “wife” even though he wasn’t yet married, not in the UK anyway.
The Border Agency staff were, I am pleased to say, both courteous and professional and bundled him away whilst he kept shouting for his brother and resisting. The brother did appear (no doubt he also got here on false pretences), but was bundled away.

Eventually the Agency interviewed the intended wife. Her face was obscured but I am in no doubt at all that she was a druggie looking for ready cash. An ugly slag to boot (with concentration you can see through the pixelations) and someone whom no-one at all with average intelligence would ever consider marrying. The Pakistani was clearly intelligent and prosperous. She, poor soul, was just a tool who could be bought.
She remembered the first part of the pre-rehearsed story but got the rest totally wrong and caved in. She even claimed that she had no idea that she was here, at the main Glasgow office where marriages are enacted in the civil version, to be married. She had simply signed a form in exchange for cash.
She wasn’t prosecuted, which is a serious travesty of justice, but the illegal immigrant was deported. Unfortunately this is the very tip of a very large iceberg. Thank goodness I’m in my twilight years.

In hoc signo vinces
These types of mainstream TV programmes serve two purposes as PR stunts to justify the agencies existence and budgets (in this case the UK border agency) and as propaganda vehicles to give the illusion of government action on immigration.
From general observation immigration into Scotland over the last year has accelerated massively.
Why did he go there when he could have shown up on the Canadian west coast with hundreds of his bretheren on a boat and just claimed refugee statis....
Badda Bing, Badda Bang, your a resident and a few years away from full citizenship. Within a decade your extended family will be living and procreating here in the Confederacy of Kooks. No need to pay off a local addict of any sort. What a waste of money.
