Insults, Mockery and Ridicule

The following essay by Lars Hedegaard was posted yesterday at Trykkefrihedsselskabet (the Danish Free Press Society). Many thanks to Anne-Kit of Perth, Australia, for the translation:

Insults, Mockery and Ridicule

Hamas sings

The red-green alliance of the left wing, Western governments, journalists, experts and devout Muslims celebrates new triumphs.

4th June 2010, by Lars Hedegaard

The Israeli seizure of the peace flotilla bound for Gaza has brought forth a multitude of experts, and gleeful journalists of the printed and electronic mainstream media are lined up, microphones ready for anyone who has a bone to pick with the Jewish state.

Many do. On TV2 News, for example, we have been able to enjoy commentary from a number of heretofore unknown Middle East experts. Among the newly-minted connoisseurs of the region’s complicated politics is the media coordinator for the Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Victims of Torture, Tue Magnussen, who in no time managed to coordinate his own thoughts to such an extent that he could establish with absolute certainty that Israel had committed serious crimes. A remarkable achievement, given that naval battles normally lie outside of the Centre’s core competence.

Less surprising was a statement by Islam-dabbler Professor Joergen Baek Simonsen, who likewise on TV2 News determined that the outlook for peace in the Middle East is bleak, and that this is Israel’s fault. We thought as much, for anyone who is familiar with the Professor’s complete works knows full well that Islam, as Gaza’s rulers invoke, is the religion of peace and therefore would never harm a fly, if only the Muslims weren’t so horribly persecuted by the bloody Jews.
- - - - - - - - -
Moreover, the humanitarian intentions behind the maritime excursion are very clear from this short video, where some of the most active activists of the peace flotilla are seen encouraging each other through a little communal singing prior to departure: “[Remember] Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews. Mohammed’s army will return.” For the benefit of readers who didn’t pay attention at school: Khaybar alludes to one of Mohammed’s numerous peace missions. In 629 AD he promised the Jews of the Khaybar oasis that they could save their lives by agreeing to hand over half their annual agricultural production to the Muslims. However, real peace only came to the oasis after the Jews were thrown out a few years later.

Another of TV2’s star commentators is a bad-tempered lady from the University of Copenhagen who is often called upon to explain why things are going so well in Turkey. But now the peace-loving people of Turkey are upset and angry, and it is the fault of — you guessed right — Israel.

This is probably why Bishop Luigi Padovese, the apostolic vicar of Anatolia, and the Vatican’s representative to eastern Turkey, was recently stabbed to death by his driver. According to Turkish officials the killing had nothing to do with anything. The driver had “psychological disturbances”, and this is clearly a widespread problem in that country, since the Bishop’s departure from this earth follows in the wake of many similar attacks on Christians. The bad-tempered lady will soon explain these mysterious phenomena on TV2: Zionists have caused such distress to the Turks that they have lost their minds.

The Danish government, which is advocating Turkish membership of the European Union, will no doubt interpret the Bishop’s unhappy departure as a sign that Turkey belongs in Europe, another region where Christianity is no longer fashionable.

Journalistic colleges and institutes of higher learning can rejoice that their students have been diligent in their studies of the Zionist World Conspiracy. Even primary schools are keeping up. A recent survey confirmed that 50 percent of Danish primary school students don’t believe that the Holocaust happened, or at least that it did not happen on the scale hitherto claimed.

All forces for good, however diverse they may be, now stand together — from the Danish Foreign Minister to the flotilla activists — in their condemnation of Israel. The common denominator which holds together this remarkable brotherhood is the recognition that the Jewish state represents a false note in the international concert, and that consequently the Israelis have no right to defend themselves. A similar, well-oiled consensus boasted remarkable results in the middle of the last century.

In order to celebrate the new revelation of the Zionist danger, friends of the peace activists have written a new song to the tune of “We are the world”.

A remarkable achievement, given that naval battles normally lie outside of the Centre’s core competence.

Since when has “competence”, or a distinct lack thereof, prevented Israel's enemies − much less Islam and its friends − from making determinations and passing judgments that are so transparently biased in their removal from fact-based reality that even a five year-old could drive a truck through most of their arguments?

Far be it from any of these maroons to admit that the Arabs have been persecuting Jews since long before the word "persecute" even appeared in the English language (i.e., c. 1500 CE). Perish the thought that Israel might feel obliged to take recourse against nearly incessant terrorist attacks that Muslims gleefully substitute for honest warfare throughout much of the modern world.

That Muslims are notoriously miserable failures at winning conventional wars supposedly has nothing to do with their penchant for vicious attacks on soft targets that often have little, if anything, to do with legitimate military activities.

A recent survey confirmed that 50 percent of Danish primary school students don’t believe that the Holocaust happened, or at least that it did not happen on the scale hitherto claimed.

For a country whose track record of saving nearly their entire WWII Jewish population is totally unmatched anywhere else in Europe, this is a complete travesty. Winston Churchill said that Denmark’s wartime resistance remained, “an example for countries large or small.” The courageous effort of Danes to thwart Nazi extermination of the Jews is the stuff of legends.

To have this noble achievement belittled and diminished by revisionist apparatchiks of Scandinavia’s Socialist Effete Elite™ is a monumental affront to those who sacrificed or risked their lives derailing the Nazi Genocide in Denmark. That this is often being done in the name of downplaying well-established historical facts which Muslims happen to find provoking makes it doubly offensive.

The common denominator which holds together this remarkable brotherhood is the recognition that the Jewish state represents a false note in the international concert, and that consequently the Israelis have no right to defend themselves. [emphasis added]

Correction: Make that “the Internationale Concert”.

GoV would do itself a great sevice by refraining from further attempts to justify this atrocity.

In this regard I would like to point to the latest news indicating that the majority of those killed were shot in the back.

mriggs,

You have obviously not been following the various articles posted on sites such as Gates of Vienna, Jawa Report, etc, which document in excruciating detail what the MSM is not telling you and what really happened there with all those involved. Considering it's an ongoing documentation process, I don't even need to link to specific articles, I can just say go to the sites at the moment and just scroll down and read.

Mind you, with a lackluster statement like that, you don't sound like someone who would give credence to pictures, audio, and video of the incident that don't fit your liberal anti-Israel/Jew world view. Either that or you do, and you know precisely what is going on and your engaging in the Islamic practice of taquiya for either yourself or your Islamic masters.

We know those like you, mriggs. We are fully versed in their various forms of misdirection, distraction, and outright lies which seek to shame and turn attention away from the sins you and yours engage in. Your statement actually counts as one of the lower levels of shaming language I've ever seen; surely you can do better given the company you're in.

I'll even answer your accusation. Shot in the back? Good. When faced with a threat such as those the 'peace protesters' (I can't even put it in quotes without rolling my eyes at the hubris) posed to the Israelis engaging in protecting their own borders, I hope they shot those jihadists in the back. From a great distance. And multiple times if they got back up. As anyone sane should do when confronted with a direct threat to their lives, others lives, and their contry and the lives within.

This is a fight. In the macro version, this is war. Anyone who goes into such an enterprise with the idea of 'fighting fair' (which I assume is what you're getting at) has screwed up. Any philosophy which demands it will be obliterated by those that do not...but then I think you know that.

So again, good. I hope they were shot in the back. It's tactically sound and lessens the lives lost on the Israeli side.

So here's a question for you: Do you condemn Hammas and Hesbolah(sp?) as terrorist organizations? Failing that simple yes/no question, do you agree with the leader of Hammas who said he hopes that all the Jews return to Israel so he doesn't have to hunt them down and kill them world wide...FOR OR AGAINST IT?

How about you doing yourself the "great service" of considering whether those shot might have had their backs to arriving members of the boarding party who saw these "peace activists" crowded around a fallen Israeli soldier with metal bars held above their heads on the downswing.

What then? Hold fire until the metal bars actually make contact with the fallen soldier's body?

Did you bother to watch the videos of these "peace activists" arming themselves with metal bars plus others with a slingshot or broken bottle who initiated the clash by throwing objects? Or does that not fit in with the truthiness of your own personal fake but accurate narrative?

I will also repeat K'thardin's closing questions as well:

Do you condemn Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations? Do you agree with the leader of Hamas who said he hopes that all the Jews return to Israel so he doesn't have to hunt them down and kill them world wide...FOR OR AGAINST IT?

Feel free to respond if you have the courage.

mriggs, I didn't even need the news reports to confirm my suspicion of foul play on the part of the activists. My brother is a soldier, and there are rules of engagement. Those rules of engagement dictate a format of escalation, the final level of which is the use of deadly force (ie weapons free). You only get to that point if you're basically in a pitched battle and the soldiers rightly say "We die, or they die". And any officer will do his duty and give the order to open fire.

The Isrealis were provoked by the mob on Mavi Marmara. It's been splashed all across the internet for days now. You don't get killed if you don't attack a soldier, because soldiers aren't cold-blooded murderers. Pity people seem only too eager to forget that (and they somehow think that suicide bombers are freedom fighters. Freedom is slavery, y'know).

I heard yesterday a sickening "news report" from Radio France Internationale, the state-owned world radio, which has a significant audience in Africa.

It said the "Rachel Corrie" was seized by the Israeli army "without a bloodbath this time".

No explanations were given as to why on earth there was not a bloodbath this time. You'd think that the default setting of the Israeli army was to create bloodbaths out of nothing, and that this time, due to the international, previous rightful indignation, they refrained from doing so.

The fact that the Israeli soliders were not viciously assaulted beforehand, this time, obviously bears no connection with that untypical lack of a bloodbath.

There was also, in a separate programme on an another French state radio, a senior and "respected" journalist, Hervé Chabalier, who was interviewed about his life. He used to be an alcoholic, and has written a book about it. This makes him a "victim", and he's treated with all due respect by his fellow journalists for that.

He used to be a successful foreign reporter, and he crowned his career by creating and managing a renowned TV company, which is a major contributor to current events reporting for France's main TV channels.

He also mentioned the "Rachel Corrie" seizure, in words that meant : you see, when the Israeli army wants to behave properly, they can. It's possible to seize a ship without killing people. The tone of his voice implied that he, as a senior French journalist, was somehow among the small circle of responsible, morally superior elite who coerced Israel into doing the right thing.

All that coming from a man who spent the previous ten minutes explaining the world (or at least the French part of it) how he made a wreck out of himself emptying whisky bottles before going on air in front of a camera, because he was a poor TV newsreader, and could not stomach his lack of charisma.

You'd think he would have at least the decency to shut up in front of alleged deficiencies of people who risk their lives professionaly on a daily basis, and who would certainly not dream to drink a single drop of alcohol before going to work.

But no, he does not make the connection, and neither do his readers and listeners.

Oh, and he was a Trotskyite leader in his youth.

Robert, I saw a couple of days ago something sickening, from your country. This French girl was walking down the street and she had to walk by a group of Africans and one gets in front of her and asks for her number and she says no so he slaps her silly. And then as she walks away, another African from the group kicks her legs from under her and she falls down. And then the dude who slapped her says something about European women that I didn't fully understand since I'm not fluent in French. It was probably a combination of mockery, insults and ridicule about Europeans.

Thanks for reporting this, Rebellious Vanilla. First let me ask you a question, so there's no confusion here.

There was a similar French video doing the rounds of the Internet just a few days ago : a black guy had a buddy film him while he asked the phone number of a white girl in the street, slapped her when she refused, then posted the result on the Internet, with threatening comments.

Do you confirm that it is an incident you witnessed yourself, and you are not referring to this video ? That being the case, can you give some more details : the precise location, the time and date, age and race of perpetrators, and any other facts that might be relevant ?

Anonymous said...

I didn't witness it or I would have called the cops. And I've been once in the crappy areas in the French cities I visited and then it was enough. I don't really do this twice, I was just curious the first time since French people are quite annoying related to how we treat minorities so I wanted to see how the slums in Paris were in comparison, for example. :P

Anyway, I just saw a video, I'm not sure if it's the same one(I WAS in France, I'm not anymore). For example, I'm not certain it was a street, it might have been a park since there were trees and stuff when the camera spins, no cars and only some taller buildings in the background, not around them. I don't know about location, but I think you can find the time and date of the video, if videos are like pictures and they automatically register in their file the make of the camera and the time when the video was shot. Everybody in the video looked as a teenager to mid 20s and all the dudes were African, all the girls passing by, including the slapped one European.

By the way, don't cops there do something in cases like this? I mean, here nobody is idiotic enough to upload online a video of them doing a felony since all it takes is emailing the video to the police. I was about to say that the media would get on the job too, but I remembered the media in the West has the purpose of demonizing white people and describing non-whites as peachy. As I said somewhere else, I don't get why not all women carry a pepper spray. Pepper spray, running speed are the most important things to get away from fools like that. Then if you know the right people, you can get them beat up. Also, all the dudes in the video looked xerox copied - blue jeans, black hoodies.

OK, Rebellious Vanilla, this clarifies it. You saw that video which went up on the Internet a short while ago.

Of course the police doesn't move just because a girl is slapped in the face for refusing sexual favours to a Black, and the perpetrator boasts about it on the Internet. This is peanuts.

It's even doubtful that they would have come if you had personally witnessed the event and had called them. Also, if in such a situation, don't make any remarks that could be interpreted as "racist", otherwise you might be the one on the receiving end of their attention.

Also, if you're the victim and live in an enriched area, it might be unwise to go to the police. Your door might suddenly catch fire through some mysterious chemical phenomenon, hitherto unknown to (civilised) humankind.

Robert, it's quite funny then. I mean, I almost got stabbed once and I went to the cops and told them about it and one left with the car to look for the guy I described and he got back empty handed and begged me to not file a formal complaint or he'd get his wage cut for not solving the case. Here if you're a cop and someone filed a complaint and you don't solve it, you can kiss your bonuses good bye. I mean, no matter how weak and puny the police is here, which is annoying, they're still better.

It's funny though that you go after husbands who slap their wife once and throw them in jail, yet the cops do nothing about the real crimes.

And yes, I actually know how unresponsive the police can be. This is why I don't even bother with them usually. I had my cell stolen and didn't report it, for example. The way I see it, if in that situation, you get back with more people and put all those idiots in the hospital. Here you can make racist comments to the cops. I remember an event in which a Gypsy woman was crying about racism in a school and bothering the other teachers with crap and they had to call the cops and she slapped the cop so the cop smacked her silly. Funny enough, SHE got a record for hitting a police officer and if I recall right, she was fired.

I also know how enrichers act. We have those around here too, just that they're not African or Muslim, but they act in a similar way.

Robert Marchenoir: It said the "Rachel Corrie" was seized by the Israeli army "without a bloodbath this time".

Perhaps we should all step back and pause for a moment to think about the reason why the St. Pancake was boarded without another “massacre”.

No explanations were given as to why on earth there was not a bloodbath this time. You'd think that the default setting of the Israeli army was to create bloodbaths out of nothing, and that this time, due to the international, previous rightful indignation, they refrained from doing so.

Here, an important point almost manages to slide by beneath radar amid the ground clutter of righteous outrage over all this blatant anti-Semitic Israel bashing.

Notice how the "international community" − consisting of a several hundred reporters that somehow manage to accurately speak for this world's BILLIONS − and it's "rightful indignation” is given all the credit for averting this potential “bloodbath”.

Amid all the usual media blather, it is vitally important to understand that much of this supposed “rightful indignation” is actually just the monotonous hue and cry arising from that open sewer we otherwise know as the Arab Street™. That this has been trumped up, courtesy of the media, into another ŝhiŧstörm of well-orchestrated pissing and moaning by knotted knicker Liberals and their pet Muslims − accompanied by a chorus of the stern tongue clucking that Europe’s Effete Elite™ so excels at − is nothing but a publicity stunt that has gathered momentum in the same way dung balls do while rolling down the face of a sand dune.

The fact that the Israeli soldiers were not viciously assaulted beforehand, this time, obviously bears no connection with that untypical lack of a bloodbath.

I would wager that “the Israeli soldiers were not viciously assaulted beforehand, this time”, on the St. Pancake precisely BECAUSE of the fact they took names and capped lots of “peace activist” arse without a backward glance last time on the Mavi Marmara. As Voltaire would say, "Pour encourager les autres".
