The notoriously Islamophile Council of Europe, which cooperates closely with the EU and the Islamic world, wants to ban Europeans from opposing the Islamization of their lands:Statement by Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland
Strasbourg, 30.11.2009 - “Bearing in mind that it is a fundamental right of democratic States to debate and vote on issues of importance to their societies, the referendum held yesterday on the construction of new minarets in Switzerland raises concerns as to whether fundamental rights of individuals, protected by international treaties, should be subject to popular votes.
The ban on the construction of new minarets is linked to issues such as freedom of expression, freedom of religion and prohibition of discrimination guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights. Therefore it would be up to the European Court of Human Rights to decide, should an application be submitted to the Court, whether the prohibition of building new minarets is compatible with the Convention.”

Jagland is a disgrace.
Jagland is trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted. The precedent has been set in Swtzerland. Let Jagland et al do what they will but their castle is already on the slide; the best they can do is slow its collapse.
Resolution 1605 is a declaration of war.
What is Resolution 1605. The book "Gold Wars" is very interesting and describes the intense pressure put on the Swiss to repudiate the gold standard in the 1980s. They were the last hard currency in the world.
Since that time they seem to have lost more and more of their independence and autonomy and are in danger of getting sucked into the EU.
Do the various courts and commissions named in this article have jurisdiction there? If so, how sad.
What happened to the proud, free Swiss with their private banking and solid gold currency.

Follow the link notoriously Islamophile and all will be revealed.
Even if they have authority there, how will they enforce it? It's not like the CE has an army. And if they try economic sanctions, I will petition my parliament to disrespect them, considering that according to my constitution the Romanian people are sovereign on Romanian territory and we should support the same principle for the Swiss.
The Swiss need to get out of the UN and all these stupid sovereignty encroaching institutions. Then get rid of Islam in their country and of the low quality immigrants and let me move there. I loved Switzerland when I visited. :P
