But don’t point any of this out, or you’ll be branded an “Islamophobe”, just as a French magazine was. According to the Vlaams Belang website, as translated by our Flemish correspondent VH:
Complaint because of Islamophobia- - - - - - - - -
The French magazine Le Vif/L’Express published in its August 29 edition a comprehensive dossier on the influence of Islam in schools. The journalists scrutinized the situation in some Brussels schools, and their conclusion is clear: Islam in schools is not only increasing, but is also detrimental to the quality of education. Here are some examples.
Some renowned authors are no longer discussed in class, because they repugnant to Muslims. Voltaire and Diderot, for example, were scrapped because they were unbelievers. In biology lessons, the evolutionary theory is also increasingly not discussed, because many Muslims reject that theory and adhere to creationism.
Also physical education, gymnastics, constitutes a stumbling block. Many young Muslims refuse to shower after a training, because the Islam forbids them to see each other naked. Add to this the fact that the sports teachers try to avoid “very active sporting efforts” during Ramadan.
At noon the young Muslims are served halal food. The few who are not having halal food are harassed and excluded by the rest, like the few girls who do not wear headscarves.
Furthermore, there are the parents, who are also trying to influence the functioning of the schools. They demand for instance separate classes on Islam, or refuse to allow their daughters to sit next to boys in the classroom.
And what was the reaction from the leftist, politically correct angle? Would they dare to look objectively at the critical article, and dare to debate about the Islamization of the schools? Not so. The ‘anti-racist’ organization Mrax immediately filed a complaint against Le Vif/L’Express because of Islamophobia.
Their chairman, Radouane Bouhlal, accused the journalists of “hostile, extremist, and Nazi terminology.” “The article encourages racism (…) In reality, these students are victims of the dichotomy of our education, and often of racism.” The classical terminology is laid on the table, “Nazism, extremism and racism”, et voilà, end of discussion.
This absurd complaint makes yet again even more clear that multicultural dogmas cannot be affected just like that. The Freedom of Press is thus at stake, or as the editor of Le Vif/L’Express, Dorothée Klein, states: “The press should be to denounce the problems (…) It is indispensable for democracy.”

Politically Correct Multiculturalism strikes again! Or maybe they've already surrendered.
They've already been dhimmified and with the consent of local politicians. Sad.
Drip, Drip, Drip.......
This Belgian school post may be quite misplaced in general ways.
It is my understanding, and I am happy to be corrected, that Belgium, which normally does everything wrong, has done something spectacularly right with it's public school system, which is all choice, all the time. And, parents have a great deal to say about what goes in their particular school. If only we had this, America would be much the stronger for it.
So the problem you are referring to is a Muslim problem, not a school problem. Non-Muslims will not be trapped there, nor would the lone Muslim who wishes to avoid a Muslim environment.
