Our Danish correspondent TB has translated a statement from Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen about today’s embassy bombing in Pakistan, as published in
Jyllands-Posten :
Fogh: An attack on Denmark
PM Anders Fogh Rasmussen (V) calls the bomb attack against the Danish embassy in Pakistan an abominable crime and an attack against Denmark.
“We perceive this as an attack on the Danish embassy and as such an attack on Denmark,” Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated in a press conference after Monday’s bomb attack on the Danish embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
The prime minister says that the government is following the situation closely and that the Pakistani president, prime minister and foreign minister have delivered their condolences and regret what happened.
“It is a despicable and cowardly attack which has taken innocent lives and hurt many. In this tragic situation my thoughts and deepest sympathy go to the victims and their relatives,” Anders Fogh Rasmussen says.

At the same time he urges people to stay calm during the struggle to find out who is behind this, and what the background was for the bomb attack.
“Nobody has claimed responsibility for the bomb. But no matter who may be behind this, and what the motive may be, we are talking about a despicable crime, which we condemn in the strongest terms,” reports the Foreign Ministry.
Fogh states that Denmark will not change its course on the fight against terrorism because of this.
“I can say for sure that Denmark will not change its politics because of terror. We do not give in to terrorists. We will continue the course as we have done so far,” he says.

This is war. Accordingly Denmark must act accordingly. 1/Deport all non citizen Pakistanis.2/ Clamp down on burqas and headscarves.3/ Remove welfare for all non citizen muslims.4/ Deport all seditious Imams including Krekar.5/ Take a lead in Europe and demonstrate that we will not tolerate anymore of this aggressive religion's attacks whether cultural or terror oriented.
Isn't Denmark the only European country with troops that actually FIGHT alongside our own (U.S.)?
I'm waiting for at least one of my elected officials to express outrage over this attack.
I cannot resist---A fabulous Danish horse and rider combination.

War Horse Party --anyone?
logdon: Deport all seditious Imams including Krekar
That would be a cute trick seeing as how Krekar resides in Norway.
I expect that instead of solidarity with Denmark we'll hear all sorts of criticism from other EU countries on how the cartoons have brought this down on Denmark and how they need to be better dhimmis. Of course the critics won't put it in those exact words, but the implication will be same.
I stand with Denmark.

RE: NATO, Anytime Soon?
Is an attack on an embassy of a NATO country considered a trigger for NATO action?
After all, such an attack IS an 'act
of war'.

Proud Infidel: I expect that instead of solidarity with Denmark we'll hear all sorts of criticism from other EU countries on how the cartoons have brought this down on Denmark ...
Too late. An Italian cartoonist (whose work was subsequently published by Iran as part of their Holocaust cartoon contest), already covered that base. Please note how the scumbag neatly suggests moral equivalence between the preferred Muslim tactic of civilian bomb attacks and freedom of artistic expression as demonstrated by the Mohammad cartoons.
OK Zenster your right. Still a man who is living high on the hog in the West whilst espousing Jihad. And no doubt on welfare.
Zenter,
Typical of those idiots to equate some cartoons with suicide bombers. No surprise here.
What's really illuminating how easily these moonbats ally themselves with a religion that denies freedom of expression, subjugates women and uses violence or the threat of violence over any preceived insult. Then they accuse anyone pointing these things out of being xenophobes and racists. No rational discussion allowed!

Of that you can be certain.

I agree. How is it possible to honestly discuss one of the most violent, abusive and intolerant groups on earth without criticizing or exposing any of its innumerable and glaring character flaws? It is akin to going on at length about Josef Stalin being such a snappy dresser while intentionally neglecting to mention how he slaughtered untold millions of his fellow countrymen.
All of this returns to Political Correctness and its unshakable belief that it is possible to pick up a turd by its clean end.
The Norwegian newspaper "Adressa" has now printed yet another Offensive Cartoon with the caption "This is not Mohammed".
The editor, Arne Blix, says it would really be a shame if someone sees the drawing as a Motoon.
The drawing, made by the dailys regular cartoonist, Jan O. Henriksen, depicts a Muslim with a bomb-belt around his waist and wearing a T-shirt with the words "I am Mohammed, and no one dares to print me" [the Norwegian word trykke can be interpreted as 'print or 'push" - kepiblanc].
The cartoon is a reaction to yesterday's car-bombing of Denmarks embassy in Pakistan (...yawn...).
