Today President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, presumably without a hint of irony, echoed Chancellor Bethmann-Hollweg when he described UN resolutions concerning his country’s nuclear program as “scraps of paper”.
While he was at it, he offered Iran’s nuclear expertise to all other Muslim countries.
And, to top it all off, he explicitly declared his intention to force regime change on all the corrupt infidel countries.
A reminder: This is the man that B. Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Condi Rice, and many other Western politicians, from both the left and the right, long to negotiate with.
Our leaders are betraying us. Virtually all of them are either cynical opportunists or deluded ostriches.
Wittingly or unwittingly, they are delivering us up to a nuclear Armageddon, and all in the name of “peace”.
Read it and weep. From Al Arabiya:

Iran vows to remove world’s ‘corrupt leadership’
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday set Iran its latest mission of wiping out the “corrupt world leadership,” and said sanctions and threats were nothing but scraps of paper.
“The Iranian nation will not give up until the corrupt leadership in the world has been obliterated,” Ahmadinejad said in the Shiite holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran, quoted by the Fars news agency.
“Our foes should know that threats, sanctions, and political and economic pressures can not force our nation to back down,” he added.
Ahmadinejad outlined two goals for the Islamic republic and its people.
“We have two missions, to build Islamic Iran and to exert an effort to change the leadership in the world. We have to carry out both (missions) as well as we can,” he said.
The president also renewed his defiance of United Nations demands for Iran to halt sensitive nuclear work.
“The resolutions which are adopted against Iran are … scraps of papers. The Iranians are a peace-loving people of dialogue in fair circumstances, but they will not discuss their rights,” he said.
Nukes for all Muslims
Iranian judiciary chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi told leaders of the Gulf Arab state of Qatar on Wednesday that his country was willing to put its controversial nuclear expertise at the service of all Muslim states.
“Iran is determined to make the best use of this technology not only for Iran but also for all Muslim states,” Shahroudi told a news conference in the Qatari capital Doha.
His comments came after talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, whose country hosts the headquarters of U.S. Central Command which runs military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and across the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.
Washington has been pushing for a new set of U.N. sanctions against Tehran over its insistence on mastering the nuclear fuel cycle for its self, despite misgivings from other veto-wielding permanent members of the Security Council, notably Moscow.
Iran vehemently maintains that it seeks nuclear energy to address an ever growing population’s need for electricity.
Sheikh Shahroudi was delivering a coded message to the emirs of Qatar: You may either be on the delivering end or the receiving end of our nukes. The choice is yours.

Iran won't need to use a nuke. Once they're confirmed as having them Western politicians will promptly cave at the mere threat.
We have no leaders.
Just a bunch of corrupt figureheads looking for an excuse to surrender.
Don't worry, Obama will talk to him and settle him down.
How our "leaders" could want to negotiate with this nut is beyond me? I will never understand the mindset that ignores what they are being told point blank! If a mugger put a gun in my mouth and said your money or your life I would tend to believe him. The risk is too great to believe this guy is just trash talking. My heart goes out to the Israelis. They are truly a strong people. I dont think I could wake up every day knowing the sword of Damocles was hanging over my head . I would either be a basket case or would join the army.

This is the primary reason why Iran must be stopped. Proliferation of this sort is a danger that cannot be overstated. More importantly, the spread of nuclear technology amongst Muslim nations is one of the surest ways of guaranteeing their collective demise. As Belmont Club’s Wretchard so succinctly observed in his superb analysis, The Three Conjectures:
Even if Islam killed every non-Muslim on earth they would almost certainly continue to kill each other with their new-found weaponry. Revenge bombings between rival groups and wars between different Islamic factions are the recurring theme of history. Long before 3,000 New Yorkers died on September 11, Iraq and Iran killed 500,000 Muslims between them. The greatest threat to Muslims is radical Islam; and the greatest threat of all is a radical Islam armed with weapons of mass destruction.
[Emphasis Added]
Anyone who has not yet read “The Three Conectures” is urged to do so on the strongest possible terms. While some may dispute its likelihood, few can argue against the possibility of such a scenario.
This is also the perfect opportunity to remind people of what Whiskey_199 has been saying for some time now.
Iran's R&D program is directed at the enrichment of uranium. HEU (Highly Enriched Uranium) has only one significant military application: Namely, a "gun-type" bomb similar to the one dropped over Hiroshima.
No Iranian missile could possibly carry such a weapon.
Moreover, any Iranian plane bearing a large atomic bomb of this sort could be intercepted with ease.
All of this militates towards the conclusion that Iran is building nuclear weapons for the sole purpose of staging terrorist nuclear attacks.
As the Baron noted:
This is the man that B. Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Condi Rice, and many other Western politicians, from both the left and the right, long to negotiate with.
Perhaps things are a bit more clear now. Iran must not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. As I have oft stated:
A nuclear armed Iran will go down as one of the greatest strategic blunders of this new century.
And, to top it all off, he explicitly declared his intention to force regime change on all the corrupt infidel countries.
All our politicians are corrupt in the eyes of Muslims - they are after all Infidels. Getting rid of them is the stated goal of Islam - so nothing new. But armed with nukes is a different proposition.
I'm afraid the only solution to the terror threatening to engulf us all is to blow up the Moon, that will destroy their nerve centre and is the only way to stop Islam taking over the world!!!
It might be drastic but it's the price we have to pay!

If we want to keep nuclear weapons from getting into the hands of terrorists, it may be time to consider promoting an international treaty to ban nuclear energy. As long as nuclear energy is regarded as an internationally recognized right, preventing nuclear proliferation is like playing whack-a-mole.
Yet, if nuclear energy is no longer regarded internationally as a right but rather as a means to become a pariah state, Iran's quest for nuclear weapons would be deprived of diplomatic cover.
Just one detail difference: Ahmadinejad is correct.
A paper resolution with no human resolve behind it is less than meaningless. It is self-ridiculing. When President Bush went before the United Nations and explained to them that his marshaling of force against Iraq was merely an enforcement effort for the resolutions they had passed, they hated him for it: He was reminding them of their own inanition and pusillanimity, which they hoped their scraps of paper would paper over.
Someone -- probably Israel -- is going to have to step up to the plate against the Iranian terror-theocracy. Until then, everything said and done "against" Iran and its drive for WMDs will be mere "scraps of paper."
The minute he has nukes there will be 3 letters that he and Iran will know very well: IAF.
Iran should remember what happened to Saddam's Nuclear Ambitions.
Alexis, banning nuclear energy is the proverbial sledgehammer for the nut. The problem isn't nuclear power, it's specifically highly enriched uranium and fast breeder reactors. The newest generation of nuclear reactors simply cannot be used for producing weapons grade uranium and plutonium by design (nor can they melt down without active intervention to force it, which is always nifty). An international agreement to only use pebble-bed reactors and not refine weapons grade uranium would solve the problem quite easily.
It'd be quite unenforceable, of course... Iran has already demonstrated the complete impotence of the existing agreements on nuclear proliferation. They wouldn't care if they were breaking a few more.
If the administrations of western europe especially great britain, were serious about restricting irans nuclear ambitions, why would they invite 75 graduate physisicists to do post graduate studies at oxford?why would we equip them with the information necessary to build a bomb?It is clear that we are not in reciept of the real facts of this situation,we are being lied to,in the same way that during the cold war the flow of imported diamonds from the ussr never ceased, although we had staged comedies such as the cuban missile crisis/show.We say things such as we must never allow iran to possess a bomb, but comming from a nation that is not even allowed to vote on its future,i would say that my opinion as far as the builderburgers are concerned will only serve to keep them amused.
"although we had staged comedies such as the cuban missile crisis/show."
Are you saying the whole thing was a set up?
Hell with it. Let it happen. Maybe after the whole world has bathed in nuclear fire and the whole of the population has engorged itself with blood, suffering, and death...MAYBE we can fix the problem for a bloody generation or two.
Probably not though. There's something very sick and very dark living inside humans right now...and may well have always been there. We don't seem to have a choice collectively. We just keep doing it over and over, and getting better at it every time. Practice makes perfect after all.
So let it happen. Let the bastard start it with nukes. Let's quit pussy footing around like little SISSIES and get down to the serious business of F&^%$*&^ each other up.
Perhaps Mr Obama can use his vaste International experience (growing up in Hawaaii, and a few months in Thailand), as well as his former Muslim status to convince the Iranians to drop anti-American sentiments & developing nuclear weapons...
