This makes the virally-spread alternative sites that much more important. I mentioned a number of them in my previous post; to that list can be added a version with Danish subtitles on the Pirate Bay.
The LiveLeak version of the movie has been replaced with the following statement:
The Removal of “Fitna”
Official LiveLeak statement
Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed comments from certain members of the British media that could directly affect the safety of some staff members, Liveleak has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers.
This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people from all backgrounds and religions, who gave us their support. They realised LiveLeak.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one.
Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one another’s culture.
We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.
Geert Wilders is to blame for the danger to the staff at LiveLeak, right?

It is a sad day indeed as I view the film asmeerly a rehash of what we have already seen and know. I want to thank LiveLeak for hosting the short film for the last 24 hours and, remind all of you that this is what we are up against...
Not that the LiveLink will render the film dead... It has now been mirrored by so many sites that it will never be dead. I just wish the short film entered more ground than that which we already know by heart...
That is probably a good thing in the long run, as the controversy around the movie is its strongest point! And now it should be obvious to everybody that “Freedom of Speech” is actually in danger, even to those blue-eyed naïvists who continue to claim that there isn't and never were any serious threats against ”Freedom of Speech”...
hmmmm, I have it on my forum ( http://australianidentity.net/index.php?topic=428.0 ) with the liveleak url and it plays.
I also have uploaded it to my face book group ( http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=9588404069&oid=5819868870 )
We can all help by letting our torrents run for upload a while after a completed download.
I think we're doing OK: We got the "Big Bang" we hoped for, massive MSM coverage, and a spread of the film that can never be reversed.
What we didn't get this time, and that was embarrasing, was people really standing up for it. LiveLeak looks like decent blokes who didn't realize in advance how vicious this would become, and they were unprepared for the raw Islamic anger they faced. They did a good job for 24 hours, millions watched it from their site, including MSM reporting on it.
Now we have another example of thuggery from The Religion of Peace, hardly suprising, proving the point of the movie.
We need a more solid source to stream the video from. Lots of blogs, including mine, have dead links where the video should be. I'd like to see that appear soon.
Oh my gosh, I posted the LiveLeak-hosted one on my blog... now I'll have to find a new one to embed...
Liveleak, freely flipping the bird to governments, wimps out when confronted by penny nate domestic terrorists (and terrorist is the correct word)
"...the safety and well being of our staff above all else."
And so, excepting a select few like Wilders, freedom of speech dies with a whimper.
To be fair to liveleak, I'm pleasantly surprised they had the guts to air it in the first place.
I agree with fellow peacekeeper. I have nothing but contempt for liveleak. Grow a pair and support freedom of speach or get the H@ll of the internet.
Yeah, well I'm sure if you were prominently featured in several national news bulletins about the Fitna thing you'd be happy to carry on pretending there was no danger. The company is acting to protect its staff. Perhaps you can bear responsibility for your own death, but would you want to stand by and let people working for you get murdered because of something you did?
Instead of focusing on the fact that they took it down, focus on the fact that they put it up in the first place, and kept it there long enough for people to start spreading it around the net. They played their part. They don't deserve your opprobrium for that.
Here's another video that ought to be banned.
My ration of optimism is all used up and now I just feel more hungry.
LiveLeak did what it could and they are to be commended. Apparently, the members of the demonic cult of Ishmael were giving creditable death threats. Until you and your families face the knife yourselves, show some respect. Their employees are not soldiers, nor is it your place to demand that they die.
Now, let those who were able to download the film spread it. Someone needs to copy it to CD and mail copies. Maybe put it on their own servers.
Liveleak is in the UK, so of course could not count on Law & Order from the dhimmi government. But they did their part, it's out there now all over.
Somehow they haven't stopped this one yet. Liveleak thru Google?

Regardless of the threats of violence, the libel/slander laws in the UK are so loose that the company and all who work for it could be bankrupted by any claim of slander/libel.
I am grateful tha Liveleak got the ball rolling. Thank you.
Allow me to speculate:
1. The EU has taken away the ballot box. The "citizens" vote for an assembly that has no real power. The meaningful decisions are made by unaccountable career bureaucrats.
2. We have lost the jury box. Our rump dhimmi governments are enforcing libel and discrimination laws that will lead to the demise of the West.
3. We are loosing the soap box. Islam's threats of violence aided by our dhimmi governments have been effective in silencing the open discussion of the Islamic death cult.
4. Soon, all that will be left will be the ammunition box.
How far away from this point are we?
I've been told that the reason why LiveLeak removed Fitna, is because British press published a list of names of LiveLeak staff. Can anyone confirm this and provide us with some more information?
skender,
I'm on the same wave-length as you. I have used every search term I can think of, and have yet to find anything on the innernut that would indicate who published this list, or even identifies who did.
Perhaps it is a canard, and LL was threatened with the potential for harm coming to their employees, or perhaps, LL knew this was coming, and took the opportunity to get the vid out there, with the intent of pulling it afterwards.
Regardless, it is out, and I thank them for that. Threats, real or imagined, are believable from the MohMen, and are the confirmation of what Wilders was trying to emphasize with this movie short.
at the time Fitna came out, I posted on youtube the version with Romanian subtitles. Today I received this email from youtube:
