A Canadian reader sent us some photos that some of his fellow countrymen took at the demonstration in Brussels on Tuesday.This fellow was not shy about displaying his nation’s flag.
Noticeable in these photos is, of course, the massive police presence.
Every set of photographs I’ve seen so far shows huge numbers of heavily armed riot police or paramilitary units.Armored vehicles, water cannon, body armor, dogs, truncheons — all the panoply of the repressive state apparatus, ready for armed insurrection to happen.
When insurrection didn’t appear, they had to make do with men in suits being interviewed by journalists. Take that, right-wing extremists!A knot of reporters and cameramen around a police unit beating up a defenseless guy on the ground: that’s a thumbnail description of Brussels 9-11.

Would you be glad if that apparatus was used against the Muslims, and not the anti-Muslims? Would you then cry so loud about the "repression" by the state? Would you then invent excuses for the police brutality?

I would decry their actions against Muslims if the Muslims were unarmed and peaceful... like during Ramadan in France's banlieu.
