Do two Google searches on “The Doctors’ Plot”.
The first one should be a Google Web search. The second should be done on Google News.
The first search will turn up mainly historical references. For more than fifty years, the “Doctors’ Plot” referred to Stalin’s cynical attempt to undermine the Zionists and do away with a number of prominent Jews in the Soviet Union. The imaginary plot involved Jewish doctors who were alleged to have attempted the poisoning of the Politburo and others in the Soviet leadership.
If Stalin’s death in 1953 had not intervened, any number of Jews would have gone the way of Bukharin and all the other Old Bolsheviks executed after the show trials of 1937. The Doctors’ Plot was last gasp of Stalinism, and it remained incomplete.
Now consider the new “Doctors’ Plot” of 2007, as represented by all the top entries in your Google News search. It involves Muslim physicians in Britain who plotted the mass murder of non-Muslims. Your search results will include Medindia Health Network, the American Thinker, and VDare, among others.
There’s a delicious irony in all this. I don’t know why, but there it is.
[Nothing follows.]
