It's something, isn't it? The Baron found it on some site in Russia...made me think of Chernobyl and before I knew it, my free-associating mind had made it to my subject line.

Subjected to the destruction by the elements all its life, it was still able to grow and flourish once it got it roots deep in the soil, then half of it was killed off and left as a stump, and yet it still thrives, still has a patch of green left to nourish it. The parallels to the Church in its oldest lands this Easter are astounding.
